NOSTALGÏA.

The end of October. It was at the beginning of the second golf of the rise of that notorious  relentless - though, ridiculously minuscule - creature 🦠. I remember to be so, so careful to not be caught by her, she would never. It was a minefield. She got me, she really got me.. She invaded my body, while she stole lot’s of good, precious oxygen, and she erased months of my precious time. She crossed many borders, but not those of my sacred cave: my #mind. My mindfield. It was (and always will be) my safe place. In there, I found myself a world filled with lucid dreamscapes, so colorful, in what would have been a lonely hospital bed otherwise. My headspace is now filled with a massive amount of mellow inspiration, from which I can snack for longer than the time I’ve lost the past months.

So, my eyes are looking forward to my very own springtime. It feels like my #rebirth is in the air. I’m almost there to give some time, space & energy to those new creative seeds to sprout. My spirit is already there, I have all the confidence my body will be healed when the time is ripe ✨

To celebrate, I thought it was time to finally share another video with/for every ear and eye that is open. To balance out the prospective expectations a little bit, the theme of this ELOÏ. song is about retrospection to some bygone times. I baptized it with the name NOSTALGÏA. .
•
This piece of tinkered 👁eyework was made somewhere at the end of summer last year, showing some ELOÏ. in light and dark. The👂earwork is from back in 2019. It is the finished composition of a song I’ve been working on sporadically since 2017 (there is a small acoustic version of it at my IG feed too, dated that same year). All instruments and vocals, high to low, by yours truly.

This metaphorically loaded visual for/with this demo of DÏVAGATÏON. (2018) is the result. The timing is perfect, as I’m celebrating - yet again - for the sun on my path and the good pitch between my drive and body.

REFLECTÏON. (full demo 2018)

ELOÏ. is a singer-songwriter-composer and musician from Ghent.

With her music she lets you float in between / on / in / under / over / .. the highs and the lows of melancholia.

While following her waywardness, she uses the palette of her different tone colors, often thickened with some piano, harp and electronic hints. This is how she tinkers different genres into the world.

She is a wanderer, as she likes to find her way both through her intuitive (evening) walks and endlessly through her own winding brain pathways. In her videos you will find a variety of metaphorically and surreally charged moving images, crafted from random material of details and compositions she tried to capture along her roads.
