These are just a few accounts from the bewildered yet astonished old-timers I passed by while blaring Govlink's new EP MASTER OF CEREMONIES in Tallahassee's historic midtown. The sound system belonging to my 2013 Hyundai Elantra is far from state-of-the-art, but even so, tracks like "Beam Trace Lagomorph" and "punchingdownintheair" grace my stereo with a swagger and a swank that can't be ignored. Even if you're sick and tired of club music, tasteless, or old, you'll find something — or a lot of somethings — in this little release to marvel at. Heather's effortless blending of all things ELECTRONIC and COMPUTER hasn't failed, not even once, to draw me in and keep me there. Do yourself a favor, and buy five copies of this album. Or ten.
