So today I have had my windows 10 machine on a few times and I have noticed the iCloud control panel just pop up out of nowhere 2 or 3 times. Normally it sits quietly in the taskbar and doesn't bother me. There are no login issues coming up, it's purely the settings/control panel that opens. It's not necessarily at login either but every 20-30 minutes. It's getting quite annoying. How do I stop it from doing this?


Hello, every time I log into windows the icloud control panel is popping up. how do I disable it to just run in the background(minimized) and stay in the taskbar and not bother me every time I log in. This never used to happen until the last update... thanks!


I was able to fix this by deleting my Outlook profile (via control panel/mail) and creating a new one. It sounds odd but once I built a new profile and added my accounts, iCloud started working and the red X and all issues went away. I had this issue on multiple machines and the only fix was a new Outlook profile. Hope this helps someone.


I've got a workaround while Apple does not fix the problem.
I uninstalled the version of Icloud for windows 7.4.
Then I downloaded an older version, 6.2.2.
At -icloud_control_panel_for_windows you can download it. I installed and followed the instructions to install in Outlook. Now it's working.
We're going to have to wait for Apple to pity us and get the issue straight. Do not forget to turn off the automatic update in Apple Software Update. For the update we must do it manually.


Really stinks that Apple has not responded properly to this, but at least we have a workaround. Now all I have to do is remember NOT to update my iCloud control panel when I am reminded by Apple to do other updates as well.


Anybody please let me know if someone has found any solution, 
I'm also having the above mentioned problem on our CEO's laptop, and it has become more than embarrassing for me :( 
 
OS is windows 11 and icloud version is 13.4 (latest on MS store). when i login and open icloud app "Contacts and Calendar" check box appears for a second but when app fully get loaded it completely disappears. and in response icloud calendar in outlook is also disabled.


Yes!, it wasnt also showing Calendar option on my windows 11 laptop. At that moment i also thought that its "NO LONGER" available, but what i figured out is that icloud in windows somehow shows this option depending on the icloud ID, iOS version on other apple devices, Time on all devices. if all these things are up to date it, Contacts and Calendar option will show up.





Hint: It wasnt showing Calendar option when i was Logging In using my Boss's ID, but when i tried logging in with my on icloud ID on the same laptop and same icloud app, this option appeared instantly. then i realised that its not about windows and icloud app, its something from other apple devices with that same icloud ID. so i check ipad, updated it, rebooted it and it worked for me.


To fix this, you need to delete all registry keys for 
Apple.DAV.Addin
 (after first confirming Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks is not ticked in the iCloud control panel). This will "break" iCloud (which is already broken) and it will ask you to do a repair when you re-open the iCloud control panel. After the repair and reboot, the iCloud add-in should be restored in Outlook.
