Viene De Mi (El Remolon Remix)

Se trata del primer adelanto de su nuevo disco “Asimétrico”. 
Inspirado en la vidala  “Encienda el Fuego”  El Remolón y acompañado por el coplero urbano Brawlio, realiza una versión libre de esta pieza tradicional de la provincia de Catamarca, Argentina.
Desde la letra costumbrista al ritmo bailable, con aires electrónicos y un espíritu que podría remedar a un “Hot Chip con tintes folclóricos”, el tema sale acompañado por un videoclip filmado y dirigido por el cineasta Fernando Menendez. El rodaje se desarrolló en el barrio de Brawlio, Partido de La Costa, provincia de Buenos Aires, inmerso en un ecosistema donde confluyen el mar, los médanos y el campo, al ritmo del sol dorado del verano argento.

“Los Pájaros” estará disponible desde el viernes 23 de abril de 2021, mientras esperamos a “Asimétrico” el nuevo larga duración de El Remolón, que saldrá el 11 de junio.

This is the first preview of his new album "Asimétrico".
Inspired by the vidala of the comparsa "“Encienda el Fuego” (El Alamito) El Remolón, with the urban coplero Brawlio, they perform a free version of this traditional song from the province of Catamarca, Argentina.
From the traditional lyrics to the danceable rhythm, with electronic airs and a spirit that could mimic a hot chip with folkloric overtones, the song is accompanied by a video clip filmed and directed by the filmmaker Fernando Menendez, in the Partido de la Costa, immersed in an ecosystem in which the sea, the dunes and the countryside converge to the rhythm of the golden sun of the Argentinian summer.

“Los Pájaros” will be available from Friday, April 16, 2021, while we wait for “Asimétrico”, the new long song of El Remolón, which will be released on June 11.

For our new release, label boss Noema selected 15 tracks to help you open these doors of perception. Furthermore, this compilation showcases the rich musical spectrum of The Magic Movement, from ethnic Downbeat and midtempo Indie Dance to uptempo House Music, always with a psychedelic touch and a lot of love for the detail.

The compilation is structured like a DJ set by Noema. It starts hypnotic and slow, then continuously increases the tempo until it reaches ecstatic upbeat domains!

[MAGIC020] El Remolon - Solari ("Mind at Large", compiled by Noema)

After several years of introspection, he presents a new studio album in which he invites to deconstruct the traditional norms of making electronic music and mestizo sounds, emphasizing the irregularities and unclear areas of today's world.

From minimalist folk to organic electronics, Asimétrico consists of 10 songs, in which El Remolón works with native instruments, flirting with folklore without assuming a particular style. Sounds of guitars, bombo leguero and charango are interspersed in Creole riffs that mimic Atahualpa, and then, when combined with electronic textures, they create a mystical, restorative -yet techno- atmosphere.

Playing freely between experimental and downtempo, and at the same time including the song as a mode of expression, artists such as Luvi Torres, Pol Nada, Lauphan and the revelation of the urban coplero Brawlio have collaborated with this record.

Asimétrico will be available on June 2021, but the previews “Los Pájaros” ft. Brawlio, will be released on Friday April 23rd and “Que bailen” ft. Pol Nada, on Friday 14th. of May. Both tracks will have a video clip, and will be available simultaneously in all Fertil Discos’ digital platforms.

En 2021, El Remolón lanzó junto al coplero urbano Brawlio, una versión libre la vidala “Encienda el Fuego”, copla tradicional de la provincia de Catamarca, Argentina. Desde la letra costumbrista al ritmo electrónico, la obra es retomada por dos grandes productores latinoamericanos que la llevan  directo a la pista de baile. Por un lado Mōiqe (Venezuela/México), le imprime una potencia ineludible, con un sonido apto para disfrutar en el medio de una fiesta global  y, por otro Humano (Ecuador) retoma un sonido más vintage, con reminiscencias alos años 80 y un sonido seco pero contundente.  Los Pajaros Remixes es el primer adelanto de una serie de reversiones del disco Asimétrico editado en 2021 por El Remolón a través de Fertil Discos, que contará con versiones de artistas como Balam, Mente Orgánica, Mica Towers y Bakur, entre otrxs. El arte de tapa estuvo a cargo de Joaquín Chas, ofreciendo una relectura con el sentido de humor que lo caracteriza.

In 2021, El Remolón released together with urban coplero Brawlio, a free version of the vidala "Encienda el Fuego", a traditional copla from the province of Catamarca, Argentina. From the traditional lyrics to the electronic rhythm, the work is retaken by two great Latin American producers who take it straight to the dance floor. On the one hand Mōiqe, aka as Tropikore (Venezuela/Mexico), gives it an inescapable power, with a sound suitable to enjoy in the middle of a global party and, on the other hand Humano (Ecuador) takes up a more vintage sound, reminiscent of the 80's and a dry but forceful sound.  Los Pajaros Remixes is the first advance of a series of reversions of the album Asimétrico released in 2021 by El Remolón through Fertil Discos, which will feature versions of artists such as Balam, Mente Orgánica, Mica Towers and Bakur, among others. Joaquín Chas was in charge of the cover art, offering a rereading with the sense of humor that characterizes him.

In 2021, El Remolón released his album “Asimétrico”. There the producer worked with native instruments, in a non-archetypal folkloric expression of defined traditional styles, where, however, we were able to trace the DNA of the cumbia, the vidala or the chacarera. Simple uses of guitars, legüero bass drums and charangos intermingled in creole riffs and, when combined with electronic textures, generated a restorative, meditative and techno atmosphere at the same time. Between native experimental and global downtempo, the album featured several songs that followed one another as emotional passages.

After the preview of Los Pajaros Remixes, on November 18, a new pack of remixes is released by the Colombian producer Mente Orgánica, the Argentinian Bakur and the Argentinian/American duo Cuervo Cuervo.

“Asimétrico Remixes” album, scheduled for December 2022 through Fertil Discos, will also feature versions by artists such as Balam, Mica Towers, Ignacio La Conga and Moiqe, among others. The cover art was in charge of an illustration by Jupa Erian and design by Joaquín Chas.

In 2021, El Remolón released his album "Asimétrico". There, the producer worked with native instruments, in a folkloric expression not archetypical of defined traditional styles, where we could however trace the DNA of cumbia, vidala or chacarera. Simple uses of guitars, bombos legüeros and charangos were interwoven with criollo riffs and, when combined with electronic textures, generated a restorative, meditative and techno atmosphere at the same time. Between native experimental and global downtempo, the album featured several songs that followed each other as emotional passages.
After the preview of Los Pájaros Remixes and Asimetrico Remixes Pt.1, a new pack of reversions is released by the Argentine producer Balam with acid and slow techno sounds, Sebaschiume who gives the track "mover el cuerpo" a more experimental air and another remix of the already known Venezuelan, Moiqe, of the classic "Que Bailen" with Pol Nada, with a hypnotic and danceable rhythm.
The album Asimétrico Remixes, scheduled for release on December 16, 2022 through Fertil Discos, will also feature versions by artists such as Mica Towers and Bicho, among others. The cover art was illustrated by Jupa Erian and designed by Joaquín Chas.
El Remolón is the alter ego of Andres Schteingart, an electronic music producer who experiments with Latin American rhythms such as cumbia, reggaeton and folklore and one of the pioneers of the movement called Cumbia Digital. El Remolón evolved by creating medium speed tracks with a slow but catchy sound. His forte has been mixing dub with digital hypnosis. As an artist of the Zizek team, he has released 9 records between albums and EPs and toured for almost 15 years, playing in clubs and festivals in more than 100 cities. He has collaborated with artists such as Pablo Lescano (Damas Gratis), Li Saumet (Bomba Estereo), Ale Sergi (Miranda!), Gotan Project and even Peruvian teenage youtube sensation Wendy Sulca. He currently runs Fertil Discos, a label oriented to spread and expand the frontiers of South American electronica with everything that encompasses and goes beyond the idea of organic electronica. He is presenting his latest album "Asimétrico" and his presentations include songs of his own authorship with remixes and songs from the popular Latin American songbook in electronic key.

Si Sé - Cuando (El Remolon Remix)


In anticipation for his European tour starting on September 12th, and following the release of his 5th studio album 'Selva' — a project heralded by the music community for its cross pollination of Latin American influences and sounds — El Remolon is back with a smattering of B-Sides for his fans.

The release is split up into 2 parts, the 1st being "El Album Rojo,” or “The Red Album,” featuring songs that explode with visceral and earthy energy, sounds of wild animals ad grooves ready for dance floors and DJs. The 2nd part, which will be released in the coming months, will feature recordings of shamanic ceremonies and sounds of the jungle with a more experimental tinge, another facet of his music that El Remolon never leaves behind.

From the Moombah-Cumbia-EDM track inspired by pop singer Russian Red, to Gilda (Argentine 90’s Cumbia Star) dub stepped out, to Mali, a song influenced by German Schaffel techno and featuring the band Tartit shuffling in Tresillo rhythm. This project really features a little bit of everything: there are even actual B-Sides that got left off the ‘Selva’ album such as the track involving ElMayonesa and the romantic song “Olivdarte."

A journey through Peruvian folklore has been transplanted across Latin America in our latest compilation, a collection of tracks entitled Sonidos Raíces del Perú. Our aim was to show the beauty of traditional Peruvian music and customs, but in a completely different context, by asking some of our favourite Latin American producers to reconfigure the sounds, retaining their soul but offering new environments in which they can be enjoyed. 

The starting point was the astonishing collection of field recordings amassed by nomadic French film-maker Vincent Moon during a trip of his to Peru between April and June 2013. In total he recorded 33 albums of material - petitesplanetes.bandcamp.com, each one representing a particular Peruvian custom, musician or group, spanning the entirety of the country. From that collection we asked a diverse group of producers and musicians to pick sounds that inspired them and to then interpret them in their own distinctive manner. 

Across 11 tracks, Sonidos Raíces del Perú (translating as the “Root Sounds of Peru”) offers progressive, electronic interpretations of folk artists, ancient instrumentation, rituals, religious chants and everyday sounds, using techniques and methodology found in wide-ranging styles such as dub, musique concrete, electro-pop and the hyper-creative electronic music scene in Latin America, a scene that is currently creating ripples around the world.

El Remolón está de vuelta, luego de su último trabajo Selva, ahora nos sorprende con “Senderos” un EP largo o mini álbum o quizás una transición en su carrera. 
Senderos es una proliferación de caminos donde el hilo conductor pasa por el viaje mismo, permitiendo luego atravesar ritmos y formatos: sonidos ácidos, bases de aire housero, trap, voces profundas, autotune y sintetizadores que sugieren minimalismo o cumbia villera. En esa ruta tan abierta, hay algo que destaca por sobre anteriores trabajos de El Remolón, y es la claridad de un mensaje político, centrado en la emotividad y la primera persona, apuntado siempre a un centro: el amor. 
El recorrido va desde el groove lento pero de bombo intenso y líricas oscuras como el tema que abre, “Guerreros del Amor” a “Calma chicha”, un tema tranquilo y al mismo tiempo bailable. No todo es lindo ni todo es alegre, pero también tiene motivos de festejo y reflexión.
 “Una secta escondida se despierta en la argentina” canta Jin Yerei, uno de los invitados del disco, en el tema que da título al disco: el amor y la música como resistencia y como punto de partida. 
Finalmente, una neo-acid-cumbia-turra progresiva de 12 minutos, compuesta especialmente para la obra de danza “La Pelota” es como la coronación de que la cumbia aún sigue viva y podría ser uno de los mejores caprichos de uno de los pioneros del movimiento.

Una forma de llevar los cantos ancestrales a la cultura pop y a la electronica rebajada.

From the Andes to the Himalayas is a way to resume the experience of El Camino de Leda, un tributo a Leda Valladares, with a unique combination of songs including canto con caja, mapuche electronic music, eastern sounds, and more.  Shaman’s voice blend into Chancha Via Circuito’s deep bases, Savia Andina goes techno, and even Britney Spears comes in in an organic format. This mixtape is an attempt to bring ancestral chants to our universe of pop culture and slow electronics.

El Remolón nos presenta Pibe Cosmo, 12 tracks al ritmo de sus cumbias digitales y electro reggaetones, un disco que recorre desde los lugares mas fiesteros de la cumbia procesada con las artimañas del minimal techno hasta llegar a pequeñas canciones con melodías insuperables. Con la participación de Pablo Lescano, Ale Sergi, Fauna,  Blitto y Vanesa Strauch.

El disco sobrevuela las músicas que un pequeño pájaro mutante y bailarín (un hombre gorrión) puede absorber en su recorrido por los ritmos pegajosos del continente: se topa con un coro de niños guaraníes en la selva misionera (La Bonita), acuña un murguetón (o "mugretón", como define el artista a Escape, con la voz del salvaje Blitto), coloca un trance robótico e inteligente para bailar con altas llantas (Zapatillas galácticas) y entra clandestino a pegar flash en un barrio de casas de chapas ("Se fue a la villa", con la voz de Ale Sergi). Tampoco falta la joda para descontrolar: a puro microsampling de hitos de la cumbiamba local (DM$ GRT$ y Altos Cumbieros) y con los teclados cadenciosos de Pablo Lescano (en el refresh de Cumbia Bichera). Para bailar como embriagado y somnoliento, con ese talante que pueden generar un vaso de jarra loca o un flechazo de amor.

El Remolón presents Pibe Cosmo, 12 rhythmic tracks of his signature digital cumbia and electro reggaeton. The record makes its way from party bangers to cumbia pushed through a minimal techno sieve, all the way to pretty pop melodies that stick in your head. With guests Pablo Lescano, Ale Sergi, Fauna,  Blitto and Vanesa Strauch.
The record takes flight, the mutant sparrow-man dancing to a swarm of keyboard birds, and along its journey it soaks up the sticky rhythms of South America. It stumbles on a chorus of Guarani children from the jungles of Misiones (La Bonita) and joins the parade of a marching band “murguetón” [marching band beat] (or "mugretón", [dirty beat] as defined by the artist in Escape, with gritty vocals by Blitto). It puts itself in a robotic, intelligent trance to dance to noisy tribal chant (Zapatillas galácticas) and it comes through a secret entrance to hit you over the head in a neighborhood of tin-roofed shacks ("Se fue a la villa," with vocals by Ale Sergi). The journey isn´t lacking in good times either. Samples of hits by local cumbia badboys Damas Gratis and Altos Cumbieros and the keyboard candences of Pablo Lescano (in the latest remix of Cumbia Bichera) keep you in a drunken, dancing stupor. The energy of songs that send you straight to jungle juice in a cup or to music-invoked ecstasy on the dancefloor.

Érase una vez una pandemia que azotó el mundo y nos obligó a quedarnos en nuestras casas, las personas fueron compelidas a distanciarse y todo lo que nos parecía normal dejó de serlo. Miedos, frustraciones, enojos, inseguridades, algunas de las emociones reinantes aún nos acompañan en este momento. Un modelo entra en crisis y no sabemos cómo continuaremos.

Un poco azorades y confundides, desde Fértil, sentimos la necesidad de entregarnos a la inspiración (o no) que este proceso producía y lanzamos un espacio de intercambio, para recibir música creada en este momento.

Nos dimos cuenta de que la idea predominante de un tiempo lineal y productivo era, en parte, la causa del colapso. Estar “Fuera del Tiempo”, nos invita a pensar en un tiempo distinto, a observarnos, detenernos y pensar... En el estar agridulce de la pausa, esperamos la aparición de un vacío fértil, para entender mejor quiénes somos, dónde estamos y adónde vamos.

Fuera del Tiempo reúne 19 postales de una pausa.18 temas y un bonus track, de corte electrónico, compuestos por productores de distintas latitudes, e invita a un viaje pausado y reflexivo, con humores algo melancólicos y también con pasajes más orientados a la potencia del baile.

Componen este collage Pol Nada, Jin Yerei, Barda, El Remolón, Marco Selvaggio, Mente Orgánica, Xanducero, Cuervo Cuervo, Leo Silcan, Bicho, Manu Ela, Lautaro González aka Shoao, Galo Vermelho, Tomás Batista, Relo, Damia, Silly Tang ft. La Sardina, Enanomalhecho, Villa Diamante y el debut como compositor de Lavender & The Good Times.

Once upon a time there was a pandemic that struck the world and forced us to stay in our homes, people were compelled to distance themselves and everything that seemed normal to us ceased to be so. Fears, frustrations, anger, insecurities... were some of the emotions that took over us, and in some cases, still do. Our system has reached its limit and we do not know how we will continue.

A little lost and confused, at Fértil Discos we felt the need to give ourselves over to the inspiration (or its difficulties) that this process produced and we launched a space for exchange, to receive music created at this time.

We realized that the prevailing idea of ​​linear and productive time was, in part, the cause of the collapse. Being Fuera del Tiempo invites us to think of a different time, to observe ourselves, stop and reflect ... In the bittersweet state of this pause, we await the emergence of a fertile void, to better understand who we are, where we are and where we go.

Fuera del Tiempo brings together 19 postcards of a break. 18 songs and a bonus track, of electronic, composed by producers from different latitudes, and invites us to a quiet and thoughtful journey, with somewhat melancholic moods and, simultaneously, powerful landscapes to dance in.

El Remolón - Boxeo Constitución

ZZK Records presenta la banda de sonido de la película Boxeo Constitución, un documental que explora las crudas realidades del boxeo en Argentina. Poética y potente a la vez, intelectual y divertida, Boxeo Constitución es una banda de sonido conceptual concebida por uno de los más interestante productores de la escena emergente de Buenos Aires. Grabada con músicos de la escena porteña, el album presenta a integrantes de “El Remolón Y Su conjunto”.

Luego de dos años de viajar por la Argentina, el director austríaco Jakob Weingartner se encontró con un gimnasio de boxeo en las catacumbas de la histórica estación de trenes de Constitución. Las particularidades y condiciones de la misma lo inspiraron para hacer un documental, explorando las dificiles realidades del boxeo en Argentina. En el transcurso de este viaje, Jakob escuchó el tema “Bolivia” del album debut de El Remolón, Pibe Cosmo y pensó que podría ser perfecto para su documental.

Jakob se acercó a El Remolón con una idea, El Remolón aceptó y en vez de componer uno o dos tracks, decidió hacer una banda de sonido para toda la película, incluso para escenas que luego no quedaron en la misma pero sí en el soundtrack. Explorando la linea entre lo experimental, electrónico, lo ambiental y la cumbia, El Remolón, uno de los primeros artistas alistados por el prestigioso sello ZZK Records y reconocido por su efectividad en la pista de baile, creó un material que te lleva al corazón del gimansio de boxeo y a la derruida estación de trenes. La música acompaña las hazañas de los protagonistas y las imágenes de sus desafíos y triunfos diarios, sus pasiones y sus trabajos.

Lido Pimienta (Colombia), a Maxi Russo, Fermin Echeveste y Andrés Ravioli en vientos (Morbo y Mambo, Mompox), Juan Marnich en guitarra  (Pimentón), Pablo Zapata en bandoneón, Patricio Smink (percusión) y Daniel Schteingart (teclados)

“Por todas las veces que no pude bailar, que baile mi pasado y mi futuro” canta Pol Nada, referente de la psicodelia litoraleña contemporánea, tomando la frase de los bailarines, coreógrafos y pedagogos de la danza Lucas Condró y Pablo Messiez, en esta cumbia oscura que invita a bailar y desconectar como acto de reparación. 
 
Asimétrico es el próximo album de El Remolón y es una nueva experiencia que invita a deconstruír las normas tradicionales de la música electrónica y los sonidos mestizos, partiendo de la irregularidad y las zonas poco claras del mundo actual. Un viaje ecléctico que va de lo experimental al downtempo, del folk minimalista al techno noventoso, tomando la canción como modo expresión. 
 
Que Bailen estará disponible desde el viernes 11 de junio en todas las plataformas digitales para streaming y venta.
 
Sale acompañado en los próximos días de un videoclip producido y realizado por Damián Ancherama, quien además estuvo a cargo de la imágen de todo el disco.   

EL REMOLÓN es el alter ego de Andrés Schteingart, músico y productor argentino que experimenta con distintos ritmos latinoamericanos, en el universo que se abre cuando se mezclan con la electrónica. In this occasion, El Remolón presents together with Pol Nada, a reference of contemporary littoral psychedelia.

 “Por todas las veces que no pude bailar, que baile mi pasado y mi futuro” (For all the times I couldn't dance, let my past and my future dance) sings Pol Nada, taking the phrase of the dancers, choreographers and dance pedagogues Lucas Condró and Pablo Messiez, in this dark cumbia that invites  to dance and disconnect as an act of repair.

Asimétrico is a new experience that invites to deconstruct the traditional norms of electronic music and mestizo sounds, starting from the irregularity and unclear areas of today's world. An eclectic journey that goes from the experimental to the downtempo, from the minimalist folk to the 90's  techno, taking the song as an expression mode.

It will be accompanied in the next few days by a video clip produced and made by Damián Ancherama, who was also in charge of the image of the whole album.

El Remolón is the alter ego of Andrés Schteingart, argentine musician and producer, a pioneer of the electronic cumbia and digital folklore scene in Buenos Aires. With a vast career, which has 6 studio albums, with important collaborations and a lot of shows in different cities in Latin America and Europe, and after several years of introspection he presents his new studio work.

In Asimétrico, El Remolón presents its new sounds. Native acoustics in organic electronic spaces, successful collaborations, instrumental passages, meditative trance and invitation to movement.

After several years of introspection and studio silence, El Remolón is back with a premiere album. Searching within, in chance haphazard and error, the unfinished or simply imperfect sounds , El Remolón elaborates another sonic horizon that requires putting aside already rehearsed formulas, highlighted labels, closed categories. In this inquiry, the artist even abandons his own ways and closed shapes in Asimétrico. An album that maintains the contagious force of its danceable rhythms and at times delves into a more introspective universe, linked to contemplation.

With folkloric elements in minimalist mode and careful organic electronics, Asimétrico delivers ten crisp pieces that feature Andrés Oddone's master touch in the mix. Simple uses of guitars, legüeros bass drums and charangos are interspersed in criollos ( southamerican folk) riffs that are reminiscent of Atahualpa and, when combined with electronic textures, they generate a restorative, meditative and techno atmosphere at the same time. Between the experimental native and the global downtempo, the album features several songs that follow one another as emotional passages. This is where Asimétrico is enriched with the collaborations of Luvi Torres / Klik & Frik, Pol Nada, Lauphan, Nuriah and the revelation of the urban coplero Brawlio. Meanwhile, the collaborations with San Ignacio, Leo Silcan and Cuervo Cuervo  go deep into a more electronic and instrumental facet. The cover and photos are made by @ancherama.
