As with all of our works, this piece - also known as 'Tick Tock' - emerged from the improvisational space that we enter when we sit ourselves at the piano with intention. On first listen back to the original recording we found ourselves swept up in the story a dreamer who is awoken to the creation of their own story through the telling of it. This image guided us as we learnt the piece and brought it into our repertoire.

The Initiation of the Storyteller (Live at Open Studio)

This track is the opening to our Sea the Sky suite, first performed in 2016, recorded in 2018, and still yet to be released!  We have an ambulatory relationship with time - to all things their season.  This suite will come to your ears before you know it!
