CSQ: Tell us a bit about your local techno scene. How has it shaped you as an artist?

Flake Intolerance: Unfortunately growing up there hasn’t been an industrial scene and there still isn’t really. However me and three friends own a collective called KRKD trying to push this style.

CSQ: Would you like to share anything with the listeners about the set?

Flake Intolerance: A selection of great tracks that define my style and movement throughout a set. I try to mix tracks together quickly and hold a groove within two for as long as suits. I never know the exact tracks that will be played so it’s always a nice challenge to create a journey of industrial music.

CSQ: How does the set reflect the development of your style and your DJing since you started?

Flake Intolerance: Since creating my alias 5 months ago, my style hasn’t really changed. I enjoy a range within industrial sounds with my main focus industrial techno, however I sometimes like to experiment implementing industrial hardcore.

However, it was 4 years ago since I purchased my first controller and started to learn to mix music together. At first I mixed music a little slower and lighter, and over time developed a taste for industrial.

Freedom 35 was a dope growing operation conceived by Julian, where the boys would grow dope clones and turn it into hash, and later sell it to prison guards for a large sum of money. The plan was created out of a desire to retire from a life of crime, as well as the fact that Ricky and Julian discovered that the dope supplied within the Jails was of sub par quality.
