I Am the Doctor (Murray Gold)

This recording is of the second performance of "August" by Alison Wrenn, performed by Zero Gravity at King's Lynn Minster, 20th July 2014. Commissioned by Colin Fish for Zero Gravity. Directed by Evelyn Nallen.

The piece is called "August" because it was inspired by "July" by Michael Torke and "September", a piece written by my mum.

The piece is centered on utilising a small selection of prose from Coventry Patmore’s poem, ‘Faint Yet Pursuing,’ which he included in his collection of poems entitled ‘The Unknown Eros’ in Hastings, 1890.
