Still Standing

3 months ago Jimena sent me some dry stems of a sweet little chorus that appeared in her dream at night. She was able to record it, and that  was the magic beginning of this song. Jimena asked me if I wanted to help her make a whole song out of her chorus.

The chorus has some beautiful pure melody lines, and it was a great privelige for me to be trusted working on this song.  I was working hard  trying to find the right expression for the song.
In the proccess found out  it needed  more power, so i contacted John O`Reilly Jr. to help us out with drums, and my son Joachim added some great guitars

Hi dear listener.
This tune is about mind-travelling and descripe the possibility to understand eachother more and more.
We would surely get a better coexistence, if we would concern more about that parameter.
We are able to do a mind-travel by using empathy and imagination combined with a sweet potion of patience!
i bet most of the conflicts between eachother and also the bigger cultural ones are caused by a limited mind, which is not able to travel...

At one afternoon I found a video offering some of the midi's of this game because of the nostalgia, so I decided to give them a try and remake themes a little. This was one of the first games I played in my childhood. 

That is why I decided to remake most memorable themes from the Digimon World 1 and upload them here. One of them is Grey Lord's Mansion Theme.


Grey Lord's Mansion theme plays when you enter that spooky building. It succeeds very well to be cahotic and scary at the same time, sort of evil waltz.

The Mongol Empire was the largest contiguous land empire in human history. At its height in the 14th century it stretched all the way from the Far East through Central Asia and the Middle East up to the edge of Central Europe. This track has a mixture of influences/styles, including Far Eastern, Middle Eastern and European Medieval which, as a whole, is meant to give a sense of the extensive cultural and spacial breadth of this fascinating civilization.
