Crashed and Burned

Carrying on with the Elvers covers while we're awaiting recordings of new Elvers material here's a quick and dirty solo version of Richard Thompson's 1952 Vincent Black Lightning recorded in my spare room last weekend. We've worked a nice full band version of this staple of our pub gigs. Looking forward to playing it out this autumn.

Three Miles Down

Elvers is a South London based folk group based round the songs of Allan J Begg. We like acoustic guitars, banjos, accordions and harmonies. We like odd history, melodrama, and a good story. We currently have regular gigs at the King Charles I pub on Northdown Street in Kings Cross and the Brixton Windmill where we play original music and covers by Merle Travis, Tom Waits, Hank Williams, Richard Thompson, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, The Band, Big Star, The Violent Femmes, Elvis and others.
