Christus factus est pro nobis obediens usque ad mortem, mortem autem crucis.
 (Christ became obedient to the point of death, even death on the Cross.)

How shall I make a return to the Lord  for what good he has done for me?
  The cup of salvation I will take up,  and I will call upon the name of the Lord. (Ps. 116)

This prayer is associated with Good Friday.  The recording from a chant workshop with the Basilica of  St. Joseph Youth Choir, provided as an example of how the music can be sung.

Christus factus est

The ancient lament, "Why me?"  

In Catholic liturgy, this is the psalm of Palm Sunday.  (It is usually shortened, but it would be proper to chant/hear it all.) It is powerful meditation for a cantor.

This was recorded during Holy Mass at the Basilica of San Benedetto in Norcia, Italy. It is the Benedictine monks singing the Gradual and Sequence (parts of the Mass) in Latin for the feast of St. Benedict - July 11, 2012.
