This work was inspired by the memory and passing of Zarian, but dedicated to life and those who choice to live it.  The vocal sample is a paraphrased reading of the Author's Note from "A Scanner Darkly" by Philip K. Dick.

There's Something

According to my notes I wrote the mandolin part at Cesar Chavez Park watching the sun set behind the Golden Gate the day after seeing Gladkill in SF.  Thanks Gladkill for the inspiration!  I listen to a lot of dub, so I thought I'd try making some... and this is what happened, I'm not sure what it is.  This is also the first track where I home recorded all of the percussion samples.  I'll upload them to my freesound.org account at some point.  Closing large books make a cool kick drum... As usual the mixing and mastering need help (as in I didn't do it).
