My attempt at writing an ISIS song. tuned drop-c recorded 10 minute ibanez lespaul through laney GH120 with e609 experiment as many chords as possible compatible with the high drone. (reverse harmonies) later tracked bass then vocal then a week later, drums with real kit (steph's kit and cymbals) went on myspace and sent the track to aaron from isis.  he said MAKE MORE.  I didn't :)

DISCLAIMER:  contrary to common assumption, I did NOT lift the intro sample from ISIS I actually re-created the sound using the yamaha rm1x sequence remixer.  If you don't believe me, do a side by side.  It's not the same!

I wanted to make a really long track for our drummer to do his homework to.  So I've been told this sounds like Boards of Canada.  I did not know them at the time, I was into Dj Shadow, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Perfume Tree, etc  This is from my 2nd album, recorded in the fall of year 2000 entirely on the Yamaha Rm1x Sequence Remixer

Wanted to make a video-game like medium tempo dance track.  This was made entirely on the Yamaha Rm1x Sequence Remixer.  Definitely inspired by the band "Orbital".

As a solo artist, Mike Britt has recorded 17 volumes of compositions between 2000-2009.   He has played in the bands Genitals Chicken, Rick, Afterearth, The Fakeout, Dubbed in English, several releases by The Visions Of, and has recorded 16 volumes of improvisational performance with the band Snowcat, and is currently working on an 18-song double LP with the band Linus in the Sapphire with songwriting partner Laura Fisher.  Michael has 21 years of experience as a guitarist, and over a decade of real-life experience in performance, audio engineering, songwriting, and music production. Over the years he has studied guitar, piano, and drums with various private teachers, played guitar in Washington Township High School jazz band, Rowan university small groups, has traveled Europe in the American Music Abroad program, and in 2005 earned a diploma in Audio Production and Engineering from The Institute of Audio Research in New York City. His eclectic musical influences range from the rock guitar styles of Brian May, Slash, David Gilmor, Robert Fripp, Adam Jones, The Edge, Steve Vai, Jimi Hendrix, Django Reinhardt, and enjoys the styles of pop to progressive rock to electronica to jazz fusion to Indian ragas to technical metal, with a particular interest in "modal" jazz.
Michael is a strong advocate of "life-long learning" and in his spare time, he enjoys studying law, economics, mandarin chinese, video editing, graphic design, urban archeology, alternative-history, internet marketing, and the physics of sound.
