I found this really old cover of Fallingforyou by The 1975 and since I'm a massive fan (also because I'm lacking on posting materials recently), I decided to share this. It's my ultimate favourite song. Ever.

'Unspoken' explores unrequited love and almost wanting to confess one's emotion but never be able to. This suppressed emotion is turned into a song that has slow beats, thick synths yet full of glitter like a trance.

'Nothing New' tells a story about acceptance, moving on and letting go. Elyss describes this as "the second part of the 'Unspoken' narrative", a song she wrote about suppressing one's emotion.

Following the success of Elyss' recent release, "Unspoken Pt. II" comes as a surprise for her listeners after its original studio release back on October 2018. Due to be released on Valentine's Day, the intimate stripped version amplifies the hopeless romantic narrative the singer-songwriter has penned.  She displays a promising ability to showcase an alternative life into her songs.

Unspoken Pt. II

Following the success of her previous single, 'We Could Stay', reaching over 12,000 streams on Spotify, Elyss returns with a delicate atmospheric single, 'Limerence'. Available everywhere on the 28th of August. 

"It's a song that I wrote when I was 19, and it is probably the longest production I've ever worked on." Elyss expressed that she wanted to capture the stages of infatuation - the uncertainty, the unspoken and its fragility. "Sometimes, it's not enough to want someone for the way you think they are." Like many other musicians, their creativity reigned quarantine but not quite for Elyss. "I've spent most of my time working on new music - none of it all felt right to be released. I was sifting through my drafts and reworked Limerence. Somehow that made sense for me."

Born to Filipino parents, raised in London, Elyss Daya is a singer-songwriter-producer. She has grabbed attention from BBC Music Introducing and received airplay for her single Unspoken Pt. II - Rerecorded version. The songstress has also been recognised by independent media like Slanted Press, Brash! Magazine and Radio Wigwam.

Since 2017, with the release of her debut single Ignition, Elyss has been focused on establishing herself as a self-made artist with stories to share beyond being just a musician. It is only a matter of time until she builds her world through her words.

Limerence

Born to Filipino parents, raised in London, Elyss Daya is a singer-songwriter-producer. Her nostalgic music pens tales about growing up, love and self-discovery. 

At the age of 12, she picked up the guitar and soon after penned her first songs. “Writing music for me was finding out how to encapsulate all these moments that I can look back on." The indie-pop artist garnered attention from BBC Music Introducing London, hosted by Jess Iszatt expressed, “We're very excited to hear much more from her." She has also landed a Spotify editorial playlist and featured on other independent media.
