This piece was written at the same time as "Gumdrops and Licorice." At some point I hope to have a collection of short works based on sweets, but at this point, only "Wrapped in Chocolate" and "Gumdrops" have been called forth by the sugary muse.

Stormy skies threaten more than ocean voyages. This music captures the dark omens and darker waves the heart might encounter on a dangerous crossing .

"Sisters' Waltz" is one of the earliest pieces from my "Musings" collection of short piano works. Its inspiration wasn't from a literal dance, but two friends who are so close they think of themselves as sisters. Their conversations, interests, and outings seem so perfectly coordinated and neatly intertwined as to be a dance. And since I wanted to write something in triple meter, a waltz it was!

From the "Musings" collection, "Glass" was inspired by an autumn sunset and a becalmed sea as seen from the bluffs of Crystal Cove State Beach. But the same feeling of comfort this piece tries to evoke has been sparked by a kind word from a friend, the luxuriant fragrance of a jasmine blossom, and a warm drink on a cold night.
