Was Gonna Try Counterpoint But I Ended Up With This

So is this the thing people call counterpoint? A melody with a counter melody? Funnily enough, the melody is supposed to be in G mixolydian, but the counter melody ended up in C major. I don't really know what I'm doing here. For now I just wanted to make sure they were different enough while staying in harmony.

I made it in a couple hours using presets. I am so sorry.
