	Rroma singer Ema Dei and English producer Jake Garber combine to produce RomaFunk: a fusion of Gypsy music and electronic madness.  This is music from another world. At turns dark and grimy, softly melodic and infectiously insistent, RomaFunk will take you somewhere new...In the winter of 2007, the pair began experimenting with Gypsy music and computers.  Initially Ema would sing traditional melodies over Jake’s 1980s hip-hop rhythms, but they ended up creating a sound of their own. 
	Ema’s vocals move between the wild, coarse rap of Sandokan to wistful, soulful delivery on Sleepwalker.  Equally, Jake’s production slides between dark, granular dubstep on Saraiman and organic, modern vintage on Far From Home.
	Supporting the pair is a raft of innovative international musicians. Romanian Rroma Beluri Bosnea, Coman Walter and Dorine Chiperi provide brass band fun, while Egyptian/Burkinabe drummer from the world of musique improvisee, Ahmad Compaore, gives Ja Keres a rolling feel.  Michel Peres’ ponderous double bass lends a native French flavour and Pintoo, Indian tabla master, provides atmospheric addition to Sleepwalker among many others…
