Yo, in our first installment in the EMA Interview series, I got the pleasure of sitting down with my dude, Eman the Heartbreak. He’s from Baltimore and has a unique sound. I’m not using “unique” as some throwaway jargon. I really mean it. His sound is different. That’s why the latest banger he featured on caught my ear (as well as the first joint I heard from him). Peep the interview to hear about Eman’s crew, Hear No Evil (aka HNE), why his music will ALWAYS be free (#TheFreeMusicMovement) and his three pronged approach to building a sustainable music career (or any business for that matter). So peep, I was floatin’ around Twitter the other day and I came across a girl named Breezy. She’s from Detroit, but lives in Houston and she’s building her brand (ByBreezy) as a hip hop curator. Now, you might ask “wtf is a hip hop curator”? Well, as you’ll hear in the interview, Breezy dabbles in a little bit of everything…from events to clothing to jewelry and more. She’s all about positivity and bringing unity to the community in Houston.

Guys and Girls…I’m happy to introduce you to Simone “Moni” Waugh. I “met” Simone on the Twitters a few weeks ago. She was saying something about being depressed about getting older.

I have NO idea why, but it caught my eye. So I simply responded and told her she should be happy that she’s able to spread a message through her writing (because I noticed she had a blog).

Note: My response landed me on her “smile pile” that day.

So I started to read this blog and holy crap…her stories just had me cracking the eff up.

If you read her blog, Say-Waugh.com (pronounced: say whaaaaa!?), it’s VERY easy to feel Simone’s personality bursting off the page. Some people have a knack for that sort of thing and she’s one of them.

Anyway, I immediately thought to myself, “hmmm…I bet she would be a great interview”. So I reached out and the rest was history.
