Jessie Granqvist [Hypnotic woods/Momentum]
Since her debut as a DJ in 2011 she has been resident in several underground clubs which formed her as an artist and person.
With roots grounded in raves and open airs, she has gained notoriety for her style of trippy, groovy and meditative sounds merged together into a very danceable mix. With both technicality and an eclectic selection of records, she has the talent to truly build and build a long lasting vibe on every floor that she appears on. Since her start Jessie has been seen in almost every dj-booth in Stockholm (where she is based) as well as clubs in Berlin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and more. 2018 she played her first live set at Uppsala artmuseum in a collab with artist Timothy Wilson. Jessie is resident at Stockholm based Hypnotic woods, Momentum and berlin based Feieramt.

He has built a strong oeuvre of releases on labels such as Float Records, Out of Sight, and Platform 22, all showcasing his unique style and musical maturity. We are excited to showcase his talent on the podcast.

Explorando y empapándose de la cultura electrónica desde los ‘90 y como clubber después, GALEUSKA ha pasado toda su vida ligada a la música.
Galeuska es una emergente promesa del mundo del techno, destacándose por su estilo muy definido a la hora de mezclar vinilos y su profunda influencia del techno de Detroit. Su pasión y compromiso con la música la han llevado a convertirla en una forma de vida. Galeuska ha demostrado un talento innato para mezclar vinilos, llevando a cabo sets llenos de energía y emotividad. Su estilo se caracteriza por combinar hábilmente ritmos potentes y pulsantes con elementos melódicos y atmosféricos, creando una experiencia sonora cautivadora para el público. In times of #Corona people have to keep touching each other without really physically touching each other, by staying #connected in their hearts and minds. This is possible and necessary in order to strengthen the cohesion within the population and to show #solidarity among each other. Through small gestures of attention, helpfulness, encouragement, contact, encouraging words and especially #sharing #music, we can help each other to overcome this unprecedented state of emergency and to remain an #inclusive and #supportive #community.

Our goal is to create a new #opportunity for #DJs from all over the world to share their music without borders and stay #connected #digitally. Moreover the artists will share their personal opinion about the #quarantine situation, explain how it affects them and how they try to deal with it.

Even if it is no longer possible for us to be together physically for an indefinite period of time and to live out our joy and love for music in #clubs and at #festivals, we can still #participate in each other’s lives through an online connection and stand this through together. Although states have #locked their #borders to each other, we shouldn’t create borders in our heads. Now is the time to get rid of all the borders in our minds and tear down the walls in our hearts - we’re in this #together.

I discovered the magic of underground electronic music later in life, and it captivated me all the more.  A lifelong music enthusiast, I began my musical journey in childhood by playing the piano.  My diverse influences, rooted in classical music and expanded through various genres, have shaped my broad and nuanced approach to electronic music.  Ambient, minimal, house, electro, or techno, I enjoy exploring it all with a spirit of experimentation, aiming to create immersive, carefully crafted musical stories. My goal is to guide listeners through a range of moods, atmospheres, and dynamic shifts. While I naturally incline to downtempo, I easily find myself in high-energy dance positions, when the vibe calls for it.  I would describe my sets as a deliberate infusion of rawness, decadence, melancholy and bizarre elements, balanced with a portion of lightness and elegance, with a strong emphasis on groove, musicality and my beloved dub. I love when music is intelligent, unpredictable and enriching to the human senses. Over time, I have developed a deep passion for vinyl.

In recent years, besides DJing, I have also worked as a promoter - starting as part of the PLAY. collective and later curating my own project Kolajnica at the Kolaj22 underground venue in Poprad, Slovakia.
