We’re so excited to return to the mix series with a super special one! A new favorite of the crew and a relatively fresh face on the west coast scene, Sundog has been putting in the work. A multi instrumentalist, producer and DJ. Also bares mentioning he’s an all around awesomely humble human as well! It’s no doubt he’s been making waves since his move to the BC coast.

“Under trees and over mountains. Those are the places I want to be reflected in my music.” Patrick Cunningham began the Woadus project with the vision of bringing a natural element to the world of electronic music. Drawing inspiration from folk and world music of all cultures, Woadus evokes a style committed to reconnecting with the earth through music. Channeling the beauty, the power, the provision, and the indifference of our planet and giving it a sound.

Woadus will often venture out into nature to collect audio recordings for his music. “All through history, events of cultural and spiritual importance have taken place out in the wilderness. Deep in a forest, atop the peaks of mountains, on the coast of oceans. There is a power in these places that I try to capture.”

With years of experience playing at several Edmonton venues, releases on DoYu Digital and NVMA Records, several guest features on sub.fm radio as well as CJSW radio’s “What Will the Neighbours Think”, Woadus is now focusing on releasing his debut EP as well as breaking into the western Canada festival scene.

I am extremely proud to present my first-ever live recording from my opening set at The Rendezvous Suwannee on May 4th, 2024 at the Amphitheater! Exploring a bit deeper into my interpretation of head nod music, expect a tasteful blend of old school classics, new school flavors, brand new tunes from across the globe, IDs from friends, fun mashups and hip hop cuts.

It was the honor of a lifetime to have the opportunity to perform at The Amp at Suwannee - I have been attending events here since I was a little kid with my family and now not only getting to experience these events with my friends and family but to perform on that very same stage means the absolute world to me.
