Dino Lenny returns to Crosstown Rebels with his latest single ‘I’ve Learned That’, accompanied by remixes  from Shadow Child and Jonathan Kaspar - plus his own take with Fed Conti. 

A regular on labels including Afterlife, Ellum, Innervisions, and Diynamic, London-based Italian-born DJ/producer  and Fine Human Records boss Dino Lenny’s solo and collaborative catalogue continues to grow as he features as  one of the most consistent names within the worlds of house and techno. Having released his first EP on the label  in 2019, he now returns to Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels for a second outing with the release of his  touching new single ‘I’ve Learned That’ - which is one of a collection of records dedicated to his daughter - with  remixes from Shadow Child, Jonathan Kaspar, and his own interpretation alongside Fed Conti. 

“My daughter Victoria is seven years old. Since she was born, I always felt I had to make sure she knew  about me straight away. You never know how much time you have. At first, I was going to write a diary  with all my thoughts and stuff like that. But if she’s a little bit like me, she’d probably pick up the book a  few times and leave it there. So I decided to transform my thoughts for her into songs. ‘I’ve Learned That’  is one of those.” - Dino Lenny. 

Shaped by emotive piano keys, blooming strings and refined drums, ‘I’ve Learned’ showcases a rich and  heartwarming production taking cues from dance music and beyond as the track’s uplifting and inspiring vocals  carry the production across nine minutes of delight. 

Beginning the transition towards more traditional electronic spheres, his remix alongside Fed Conti utilises vibrant  guitar licks and a luminous bassline to head into a late-night discovery of disco influences. Next, Shadow Child’s  ‘Classic Mix’ is a skippy house gem as bumping low-ends work amongst hazy chords, with Jonathan Kaspar’s  remix moving deeper via surging synths for a hypnotic and thrilling ride to close.

The brothers Fognini aka @mindagainst return to Life and Death with their new single Love Seeking released June 20 (digital), followed by the vinyl on August 9 with a remix from friends and fellow masters of the emotional dancefloor Âme.

It’s fitting that techno storytellers Mind Against should revisit the home of their first EP with a revamped sound and turbo-charged take on current-day disco. Their history with DJ Tennis and Life and Death is almost as old as the label itself, harking back to their days living together in Berlin.

Now the brothers leave behind their signature hypnotic techno palette for a boogie-fied stepper that’s equal parts pop breeze and deep synth trip, full of hopeful anticipation. For the remix, Innervisions duo and cultural tour-de-force Âme twist the knobs and stretch out the heartstrings for an extended slice of big room goosebumps.

“10 years after releasing our very first EP Atlant on Life and Death, we’re excited to come back to our first imprint with such a special track and remix by Âme.

We’ve stepped out of our usual comfort zone and done something that can be both linked to our own musical world and to the sounds that Life and Death have evolved in recent years.

Our friendship with DJ Tennis is about as old as the label is, bringing us back to the times we used to share a flat in Kreuzberg. One may say this release is both an ode to the past and to a bright future, full of promises.”

Iconic DJ and Producer Solomun remixes Radio Slave ‘The Lunatics’ on Rekids, following the original’s inclusion in Matt Edwards’ acclaimed ‘Venti’ album in May. The original, a rework itself, reimagined the 1981 Fun Boy Three track ‘The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum’, with Edwards’ ode to the band’s late lead vocalist and The Specialsfrontman Terry Hall winning support from Saoirse, Erol Alkan, Jennifer Cardini, Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford, and Honey Dijon.

Solomun’s remix of ‘The Lunatics’ is sparkling aural nostalgia executed with total joy. Crisp 80s drums, Stranger Things-esque Jupiter 8 synth swells, the vocoded titular vocal, and a gloriously rich sliding bassline combine to drag the listener back to 1983 in the best possible way. As the track builds, rousing guitars join the ensemble, completing what is a hypnotic, melodic trip to the 80s via what’s set to be a 2024 anthem.

Ashoju opens up Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two 2025 account with the ‘East End’ EP. A trio of original tracks come backed with a stellar Jordan Peak remix.

From selling club tickets in Preston to playing Amnesia Ibiza Terrace and the world-renowned Glastonbury Festival, the British DJ & producer ASHOJU takes cues from tech-house and minimal grooves. A debut release for Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label in July 2024 unlocked Ashoju’s production vocation.
