Born and raised on a grain farm in Saskatchewan, Djstubble’s connection to music runs deep, starting with his Jamaican roots. His mother’s side of the family from Jamaica introduced him to the vibrant sounds of dancehall as a child, with late-night walks through the streets of Kingston immersing him in the rhythms that would later influence his own sound. His father, a vinyl enthusiast, further fueled his passion by taking him to record shops in Kingston, where they would hunt for rare records—laying the foundation for a lifelong love of music.

From an early age, Djstubble showed a natural affinity for rhythm, starting percussion at just eight years old. His love for music evolved over the years, and he eventually found himself drawn to the underground electronic scene. The UK sound—particularly bass house, afro house, Italo house, jungle, and underground hip hop—became his musical home. His influences include pioneering figures like Chris Sheppard, whose work on the Electric Circus show deeply resonated with him. The energy and innovation of the UK scene and independent labels, especially Defected Records, shaped his creative vision and sound.

Djstubble's journey as a DJ began online, streaming on Twitch and quickly building a dedicated fanbase with his eclectic sets. His style is a blend of the underground, with a heavy focus on groove and energy, whether it’s the punchy basslines of house or the frenetic pace of jungle. He has worked extensively in the Edmonton area, providing the soundtrack for weddings and corporate events, but his true passion lies in music production. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Djstubble is all about creating tracks that not only move the body but connect with the soul.

Now, Djstubble continues to hone his craft, pushing the boundaries of sound while staying true to the roots of the UK underground scene. As he takes his productions and performances to new heights, his goal is clear: to create immersive experiences that leave lasting impressions on every listener.
