'Hungry For the Power' gets a fresh batch of big-name remixes in advance of Azari & III's debut LP release, due in July.

Headlining the package is a showdown of Crosstown Rebels stars, with the red-hot Jamie Jones and Art Department each turning in massive renditions. Jamie's mix is a full-blown, driving party anthem, while Azari's fellow Torontonians elevate the pop flavours with a more laid-back approach.

Guy Gerber, fresh off a fruitful collaboration with P. Diddy, delivers a feverish, saturated late-night mix.

Emerging talent Sei A turns in a hauntingly beautiful dubstep mix reminiscent of the mighty Burial.

Finally, Azari & III pump the drums up and enhance the Detroit-styled strings on their brand-new Dub.

Ken Sekiguchi’s Frankenstein Complex deals in restraint. The Original Mix is all clipped drums, negative space and a cool synth glare that feels engineered rather than performed, Yet there’s a heartbeat under the texture. Small variations do the heavy lifting: a filtered stab, a tick of percussion, a bass nudge that tilts the floor a few degrees darker. It recalls peak minimal’s aerodynamic years but dodges pastiche by keeping the arrangement agile and the sound design crisp.

Welcome to the jungle! Rede daRe and Nihno join Dennis Cruz in a masterful release on Noferini's Deeperfect, a four-tracker bound to hypnotize you to the dance floor. Cruz's original version of "Hydroponic" is an introduction to vocal tribalism, and an incredible application of text on rhythm. Nihno's interpretation is a peak time, energy loaded piece, remaining faithful to the vocal salad of the original version. Reda deRa's version is a mood-accelerating power-tool. It reduces the vocal elements, but compensates with new, bright percussions and tons of groove. Just when you think that this release lacks something so beautifully embedded in the core of Deeperfect, Denniz Cruz hits us with "We Can": a track that takes all the elements mentioned above and weaves them together in a net of deepness, so low, that no animal can escape.

Andrew Meller has been on an incredible run of form recently having smashed the Beatport charts with his remakes of classic tracks such as Faithless' 'Insomnia' and the all-time holy grail of Underworld 'Born Slippy'. His talents do not stop there though, he proves here that he is more than capable of penning some serious underground sounds as he delivers 'Godfathers Dance' and 'Honey'.

'Godfathers Dance' leads the charge here and has been a secret weapon in label boss Nic Fanciulli's sets for time now. This bubbles along really nicely with a warm and funky bass line, some lush, tribal percussion and some great horn additions that really add to that dance floor energy. 'Honey' on the flip is more menacing in it's delivery with a sinister synth pattern and a tough drum workout for those slightly tougher floors.
