The man in the picture frame of this song is my father. I had a complicated relationship with him. He used to be abusive in several ways, and yet i kept trying to have a good relationship with him, which i did not manage to do. I tried to have him as my father, but he was too hurt and so was i, and we could never really bond after a while. I owe him my taste in music, and he was a hardcore metal fan. He taught me how music should be listened to, and he was an amazing artist. He made a portrait of me when i was a small child, and it is so beautiful. He was a very hurt man, and he used drugs and alcohol every single day since he was 15 years old. He tried to be a good father, but his addiction managed to keep him from it, and in the end he failed, and was an absolute terrible father. I tried not to love him, and yet i could not bring myself to do it, i kept loving him, but i hated myself for doing so. I also owe him the way that i absolutely hate myself, and how i fail to relate to the people around me. In these last few years, he really tried to make a change, but he failed. Last week since this was posted, he hung himself from the ceiling of the bathroom of his house. He did not leave a note, nor did he call anyone or text anyone, and people say he was happy that day, that they laughed all day long. This song is about him.
