In honour of its 15th anniversary Highway Records label releases the compilation 'Highway XV'. 15 brand new remixes of the best-selling tracks from the label's discography, created by the leading musicians of the Russian electronic scene. From deep and organic house to indie dance and progressive.

One of the main Russian electronic labels, Highway Records, celebrates its 15th anniversary! Founded by Mike Spirit in 2008, the label has travelled a long way from the Moscow underground scene to the world's dancefloors, gaining the respect and recognition of the industry's leading players, winning the love from fans of quality music at home and abroad.

Highway has played a significant role in the development of the Russian electronic scene, becoming a home for many talented artists to realise their creative ideas and a platform to promote their music. Year after year the label continues to discover new names and broadcast its own view on electronic dance music, emphasising on quality, not chasing fashion and trends and remaining always up-to-date.

The new 'Highway XV' compilation has collected under its cover 15 tracks from the label's extensive catalogue of almost 200 releases in a new interpretations created by a large team of Russian musicians who hold leading positions in the genres of Indie Dance, Deep House, Organic House and Progressive. This year, the Best of DESERT SOUND it will be all in one to feel it in the real “LIVE mood”.
Starting from Sunset and then to dive into the darkness of the summer nights by the sea when the BPMs begins to increase and the energy explodes in a big party. 
Starting from Organic House and Melodic Techno Desert to dive into Techno Music.
I have decided to publish it and make it available for you on New Year's Eve because I like to think that it will be the first sound you’ll hear when you wake up in 2024... 
…But you can even listen it for your New Year's Eve Party…
The Desert Sound 2023 is for you all, the download is for free on SoundCloud and it comes on this day to remember the amazing summer sunsets and nights spent together. 
I am grateful to the Sun, my only source of inspiration when I play. I love the Sun and I play for the Sun because I don't know how to live without it. This DJ set is dedicated to the SUN and it is a cry of hope waiting for it again, to return to warm up the wonderful summer sunsets.
I remember that, this selection is my best of "Desert Sound 2023”, the alternative and mystical DJ Sets of the sunset secret parties at Kinky Beach (Rimini) where I have played every Tuesday of this summer 23. An experimental and revolutionary sound project throughout the Adriatic coast. 
Let say… The only One Italian Burning Man sound project.

I want to dedicate this lineup to all the fans and friends who loved this exciting evening during this amazing Summer. I thank you all for the good vibes and the energy they transmitted to me. I want to thanks all the KINKY BEACH staff for choosing me again as resident DJ in this sound project.
This DJ set is written respecting the Camelot Wheel and therefore is done completely in a harmonic Key. I hope you can appreciate the advanced and revolutionary technique of many of these mixes by working with double loops and midi audio transformed into rhythmic beats with rising drops that become explosive. 
I constantly study and train myself a lot to develop these advanced techniques.
As you know I am an architect. I live to create. Playing as a DJ for me means creating a sound project with an athmosphere that can make you feel better and that can make you dream. You can enjoy this DJ set for parties with friends, when you are alone at home, when you are doing sports or when you are traveling... you will be transported to another dimension. The cover of this DJ set was created by me using artificial intelligence. Its meaning is the representation of a Desert full of people inspired by BURNING MAN. They are seeking the SUN energy, depicted in this case by a Queen of an apocalyptic world. She is invoking the SUN and the Sound of Desert...

Already a close member of Life and Death’s extended family, @adamten makes his debut appearance on the label with a freaky anthem, distinctly shaped for baroque dancefloors, eccentric parties, and sweaty summer festivals.  

It’s already been a massive run for Adam Ten over the past year: following the chart-topping success of his anthemic tune ‘Spring Girl’ on Higher Ground, Adam performed one of the most impactful sets at Burning Man last summer, had two packed DJ sets with longtime collaborator Mita Gami at the Yuma Tent at Coachella, and has all the while stayed consistent with strong releases on Crosstown Rebels and his very own label Maccabi House label. 

‘Magic Circus’ has Adam’s signature soundscape all over it: funky samples, hypnotizing groove and trippy synths, coupled with tensed buildups and highly percussive drums. This special record has been a staple in recent sets by Adam himself, as well as Life and Death label member Carlita, and founder DJ Tennis.
