This feels like something that would play in Don't Starve

to this day i come back to this track because of how beautifully melancholic it feels. fleeting life, the swift smell of nihilism in the air, the weight of choices and consequences, life presented on your own silver platter, comparing you to this grand manor, to the dining room you reside in simply to be a speck in the grand scheme of things. a butler of fate, a simple servant for destiny's whims, and yet it has undertones of joy - the way humans manage to find meaning in life, the way some don't, the cruelty, the sincerity, the tragedy, the comedy of it all, it's genuinely surprising how this song makes me feel despite being so simple melodically and conceptually. a waltz embodying us, a dance with death we can never forget, danse macabre. the sorrow and happiness, the lows and the highs we experience, all interwoven in this dramatic theater where we play mere puppets on strings for forces beyond our understanding, never withing our grasp... thank you for coming to my ted talk.
