Pulsating melodic and emotive house music here from Western Canadian artists LadyK and RF label regular em.ash on the lush and melancholic Umusa single. Musicality is emphasized through the development of the swervy lead that pierces through the heavy low end while accents of organic percussion help to push the groove.

The first remix comes from RF label boss Rennie Foster in his signature post-Detroit techno futurist style while the younger West Coast rave generation is represented deftly by emerging producer Aspen King. King drops a modern bass-house masterclass that will surely shake a PK rig or two this festival season.

As we hurtle forward into more technology, it's important to remember our humanity. Kindness means that we lead with our hearts; the world needs more kindness!

Deep Space / My Sex is Electric are the fruits of collaboration with Liza Hughes, creatrix of the infamous Naked Poetry evenings.  Her sassy, unapologetic ownership of her own sexuality inspired these dance floor translations that we hope will move you in more ways than one. 

@LadyK108 and em.ash are bringing an original flavour of divine feminine empowerment to dance music.

My first ever set at a burner event and I had a great time lighting a fire at Dante's to get the weekend started.  The vibe was like nothing else.

Dante's is a two storey raunchy strip club heavily inspired by the movie Beetlejuice, Dante's is the sex-positive Burning Man theme camp where you can meet frisky furries, sexy critters and freaky animal people of Otherworld.

Lamplit and Mind Garden joined forces to push the bar for weekend gatherings.  This boutique festival highlighted a diverse lineup of Vancouver Island artists playing deep 140 bass and techno.

It was an absolute pleasure to play on Mind Garden's Void sound system.  I really enjoyed the whole experience and was blown away by all the lovely people I met there.

This was my final set at Otherworld 2023. It was the perfect culmination of an incredible weekend filled with performances on six different sound stages. I was particularly excited about playing on the forest stage because of the connection I had made with the Lamplit crew earlier in the year.

After wrapping up my set at Thirrrsty Barrr, I had a tight schedule to make it to the other side of Otherworld within an hour. Luckily, I found a friend with an art car who offered me a ride. We made a brief stop to check out another sound stage before heading towards the forest.

When we arrived, RVH's set was at its peak. I was filled with a sense of joy from the weekend, overflowing with gratitude, and even a touch of confidence. Together, with the vibrant energy of the dance floor and the engaged atmosphere of the lounge, we delved into an extraordinary vibe. I truly hope that the essence of that remarkable experience resonates in this studio retake.

Reflections is a somewhat irregularly occurring dj series.

It's been a few years since I played a show in Victoria and I've been wanting to get back there for a while.  Quadratic Sound is an intimate space with a comfortable atmosphere. Annual membership is $5 and supports local events and artists.

The dancefloor was dedicated and continued to grow until the last track of the night.  The energy was up all night and there was no sign of stopping as we pushed past closing.

I really had fun with my track selection and pushed some classic synthy disco sounds pumping with techno kicks.

It's a deep and moody deconstruction of the original, reinterpreted as a slow-burning deep house journey.  Layered vocals and resequenced piano drift atop a deep groove and a bright synth line elevates the energy after the breakdown.

The Woodstove Music & Arts Festival is a non-profit community arts festival presented by Cumberland Culture & Arts Society. It takes place in a variety of unique venues downtown in the Village of Cumberland, BC on the unceded traditional territory of the K'ómoks First Nation.
