//Was bedeutet deine Musik für dich?//

Sie ist als Teil meiner Identität eng mit mir verknüpft. Was ich anderen nach außen hin über mich preisgebe, transportiert sich in kuratierten Schwingungen - vom Intro bis zum Outro - und repräsentiert, was mich energetisch macht, Bedeutung hat. Alles was ich musikalisch anderen Menschen ans Herz lege, ist ein Fragment von mir. Manchmal ist es ruhig, kuschlig und flauschig oder langsam und tief, dann vielleicht rasant und ruppig. Ich bin neugierig und interessiert, versuche ein Selbst in neuen Facetten zu finden und Ängste zu überwinden, flexibel zu sein und dieses chaotische Sammelsurium an Bedürfnissen miteinander zu kombinieren. Meine Musik bedeutet also, ich zu sein. Sie zeigt Phasenverschiebungen meines Lebens, sie erzählt Geschichten. Ich teile sie, um mich dir zu öffnen.

//Woher nimmst du deine Inspiration?//
Aus Erinnerungen und Träumen, Kontakt und Gefühl, Raum und Effekt. Inspiration entsteht in den Zwischenräumen der Momente, die ich mit Nähe und Gesprächen, Energie und Frequenz verbinde. Was assoziative Muster auslöst, divers und überraschend ist, Wechselwirkungen erzeugt und meine Emotionen lenkt, ist inspirierend. Wichtig dafür sind Menschen, verschiedenste Musikstile, ganz viel Input, dann runterfahren und sich darauf allein konzentrieren, vom Power- in den Zen-Modus schalten und wieder von vorn. Die Inspiration kommt aus dem Außen, ich nehme sie aus einem bunten, bassigen, instrumentalen Schlaraffenland der Geschichten.

//Was muss sich deiner Meinung nach an der Szene ändern?//
Es braucht mehr Verständnis für Diskriminierungserfahrungen, mehr Willen zuzuhören und sich gegenseitig hochzuziehen. Es muss endlich der Schalter von Buddy bucht Buddy zu Buddy bucht FLINTA* und BIPoC umgelegt werden. Die Szene will inklusiv und rücksichtsvoll, feministisch und empowernd sein. Trotzdem werden institutionelle ausgrenzende und marginalisierende Entscheidungen getroffen. Trotzdem werden persönliche Grenzen überschritten und Schutzräume verletzt. Darum muss die zwar schon offene und liebevolle elektronische Musikszene weniger Ego-zentriert, dafür mehr Support-fokussiert werden. Es liegt an allen, patriarchale Strukturen aufzubrechen, nicht nur intersektional zu denken und die eigenen Privilegien zu checken, sondern die Erkenntnisse auch praktisch umsetzen.

Mix 013 is a recording straight from the homie's birthday bash. Dedicated to my good friend Jack. The epitome of hot, gorgeous, dripping sexy masculine energy. This daddy drives big trucks, can fix your refrigerator, and makes perfect pancakes. He is a grade A slab of hunk that'll make you eat your heart out. The best thing about Jack is how soft and gentle he is. Daddy to two beautiful little girls, he is an inspiration to all of us and we are proud to call him our friend. It's not easy balancing a social life, KIDS, work, marriage, etc, but you make it look easy Jacko. You make it look damn sexy too.

I played for 7.5. hours this past Saturday. When the vibe is hitting right, I can play for days. I get to paint a picture when I play for long durations. This was the 1st hour of the night. I am understanding the art of creating a vibe. Layering tracks that bring u up and down and around, all while shaking your booties. I have mentors to look up to and ask questions. With more experience, I am able to show my personality through the music I like to play.  I am so grateful for everything and I feel so alive when I get to be the Disc Jockey for the people.  I feel it pumping out of the speakers and I know you feel it too.
