EMBERHONEY in her own words 'This song was sparked by a lone crimson tree glimpsed while I was miserably painting a building three storeys high with cold hands and a bleak sense of my future.

Out of that chill and existential ache came October’s Flame: a love story caught between rapture and decay.

I even struck a match and recorded it as the backbeat — the flame itself breathing through the song.

Romantic and haunting, it captures the brief, burning beauty of connection — and the anguish that follows when it suddenly dies away.'

EMBERHONEY in her own words 'Until The Stars Burn Out (Deluxe Mix) is an enhanced mix of the original version of the song I Recorded and Produced on my own.

Therefore the Beauty For Ashes EP traces more than an emotional journey of reckoning and rising from the ashes — it also mirrors my evolution as a Music Producer.

By the time I finished the final song of this EP, the contrast in skill was striking. So I returned to the beginning, re-forged Until The Stars Burn Out and lifted it into the same cinematic universe.

The original performances remain, but I’ve added new layers and enhanced sonics for those who’ve been listening since the start of my journey.'

I found music the way some people find God… in a state of existential despair that demands either drug-induced oblivion or a clear path to salvation. Fortunately, I found salvation... in a drum kit.  I literally tapped into talent I didn’t know I had. I spent the fees I was awarded for my PhD post in Philosophy on a drum kit and played 8 hours a day for months on end. It was like an extended primal scream. Soon I had an intense desire to write songs, so I taught myself guitar and then piano. And finally, I dared to open my mouth and sing. Music has saved me. As the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche noted 'You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star'
