Austrian duo Wild Culture have fast become staples of the Kittball imprint since their first release back in 2012. Alongside three original EPs titled ‘Faith’, ‘This Moment’ and ‘Fade’, the twosome have also been tapped to remix label founders Tube & Berger’s seminal hit ‘Lovebreak’, not to mention having their own work remixed earlier this year by the likes of Nico Pusch, David Jach and Purple Disco Machine.  

Kick-starting their fourth original release on Kittball; dark and brooding, the beefy first track of the release titled ‘The TIDE’ takes no prisoners as it lays down a mean and throbbing low end, albeit the Austrian duo still incorporate a heavy dosage of funk courtesy of plucky guitar work and jittery keys. 
‘With YOU’ boasts rumbling kicks, heady vocals and subterranean synths that collectively form a multi-layered and enriching number topped with mind-bending atmospherics that ebb hypnotically throughout.

After the last massive releases, SNOE is happy to up the stakes with an EP from the labelboss himself Andreas Henneberg. With him on board he has Luca M and Channel X. This four track banger gets right into a funky mood with „Proper Job“ and it’s on spot kicks accompanying driving hihats and spinning sounds. „On The Fat Tracks“ rips up the dancefloor with it’s wobbling synth and catchy percussions. This combined with an uplifting vocal piercing through the rolling groove brings the energy level in this song to the max. Luca M’s remix of “Proper Job” gives a nice acidic techno twist to the EP with some killer groove-work and the touched up vocal. Channel X takes the vibe of “On The Fat Tracks” and turns it into a freaky dance kick in their own style with a pushing bassline moving forward with the twisted synth in what becomes an ever-escalating synergy of moving sounds. Almost exactly three years after NR&, a project uniting &ME’s and Rampa’s production with the voice of New York Disco-House-siren Nomi, dropped their debut EP, we finally can announce a new chapter in this ongoing transatlantic menage. This very “Spoken For” EP is comprised of two new tracks, that again fuse songwriting with floor-demands and showcase the same crackling and pulse quickening passion that instantly has become NR&’s trademark. So here’s the evidence – a long distance relationship is not necessarily doomed to get boring after a while.

“Taste Like” on A might be conceived as the club-affair of those two new joints. A tune indulging in self-control, extending the pre- eruptive moment of excitement to track length. There is Nomi’s unmistakeable sexed up oration, flanked by an affirmative thunderstorm of claps, then a bass heavy bridge, overflowing into a noise brushed finale. Altogether a tasty flavour carrier for an effective floor heating.
“Spoken For” is not only the title track, but also the hymn coming out of the flipside ambush. There is no kick necessary to underpin what Nomi’s charismatic croon is laying down. Therefore a wise choice to let the arrangement of interspersed field recordings, percussive details and piano- and synth-decoration exercise in unobtrusiveness. Safe to say, this tune will refine many future peaktimes anyway.

For some time now the Bar25 label has wanted to put out a release with all of our Swiss musician friends - the many folks who came to the Swiss Weekends at the Bar and generally made a habit of visiting us in Berlin. The Bar always had a deep Swiss connection, manifested not least in the legendary Swiss Cabin, home away from home to larger groups of visiting friends and Monday evening after-hour hotspot. "Alpenglühen - Feines aus der Schweiz" (Alp Glow - Swiss Bliss) is a swanky double vinyl of high-quality production art made in Switzerland. On vinyl 1, Animal Trainer from Hive Audio share a side with Andri, the Zurich native who is famous for his energetic live set's. Techno gladiator Wandler and live artist Canson play the other side, while vinyl 2 lets two matadors from the new Zurich club Frieda's Büxe - Don Ramon and San Marco - steer for a while. And the two music geniuses from Galoppierende Zuversicht are also here, fittingly, using sounds recorded live at Frieda's Büxe for their track. The sampler concludes with the exceptionally talented Mastra, who contributed a special song to this Swiss musical collage. The digital release also comes with a bonus live track by sublime stage band Rizzoknor. Even the cover was designed in Switzerland, during a Bar25 night at the legendary Cabaret in Zurich. We're all excited about this release since it's a special one for the 25 label. Marked both by good old times and new horizons, this record is a musical compilation representing the very special kind of artist that will always be welcome in wild Berlin!
