I used to be this emcee that went by the name Lit. Was active 2003-2004. I mostly did battles on the d12world.com message board and a few other random internet tournaments. I did a few songs/freestyles but never really polished anything or cleaned my music up. Mostly it was all practice. When I look back being as young as I was, I truly think I didn't have enough life experience to accomplish with music what I was aiming to. I saw problems in the world and knew they would eventually get out of control. 

Racism, gun violence, mental health, poverty. Those were some of the things that I really wanted to shine a light on because I was worried we were going to create a new generation of fucked up kids. It is so important to me that people understand that we have an opportunity to change the world, really change the way things are done with each new generation. I still work on solving for these problems and will never give up hope that we can make a positive impact on the world with rap music and hip hop culture. 

When I called myself Lit I a) didn't know there was a band of the same name and b) treated it like it was a play on words meaning high, hot, and enlightened. Noticing it become one of the most trendy things in modern day culture is a weird experience. Mom look, I'm a buzzword! I'm a buzz, word. See I still want to rap sometimes.
