Reigning from Chitown, GirlzDistrict - Dawn "Scotty" Scott - a star was born on September 4th on the south side of Chicago and has since been rising to the occasion. GirlzDistrict's musical inspirations all started with her mother, who was a music enthusiast and vinyl records collector. This "Rap Soul" pioneer keeps it real with her stories and allows listeners to embark on a raw, unfiltered journey through her lyrics. Prior to being a solo artist, Scotty was in an all-female rap group, yet she was always able to stand out with her ability to write on the spot and create mind-blowing hooks.
