Break The Boxes! This is Part 1 of 5 for the Time Travel EP from dead prez. The EP was executive produced by M1 of dead prez. The story began in Tallahassee when I met Tr!x (@TheMrPatel)who is the guy doing the hook. This version was produced by Precision (@PrecisionAMG) as was the original version of Time Travel which appeared on dead prez' latest album 'Information Age' (Boss Up / SoundWeapon / Krian Music Group)(released 2/13). The first person to feature on the song was Reek Da Villian (@reekdavillian)who murdered it. Big shout out to The Conglomerate!! I'm glad this RBG collaboration could happen. Next came Bun B (@BunBTrillOG)who in our minds when we were first mixing the song. Shout out to Houston, TX and DJ Zin. Busta Rhymes (@BustaRhymes) makes me proud to be doing music today. It is an honor to have finally linked on a tune from dead prez which fit him perfectly. He did what he does best, mash it up! Thank you comrade. Conglomerate Family! Dee-1, for those who haven't heard, is one of New Orlean's finest m.c.'s. His narrative about hip hop is classic on this song. I memorized from the first time I heard it. MC Fre I (from Duo Live)from Brooklyn, is one of the greatest m.c.'s I've ever met. And Lastly, Black Thought of powerhouse band The Roots makes his appearance on the song and steals the show. www.deadprez.com

Part 2 of 5. DJ Child / Project Groundation Massive (PGM) is a long-time comrade to dead prez. His production has been noted by anyone with ears in the Hip Hop and Reggae Dancehall community. After working together on countless tracks in his Oakland, CA studio (PGM lab) I knew that Child would create a heatrock if he could collaborate with the alchemy of the artists I had assembled for this remix. In my opinion this track is one of the dopest tracks of this year. Conceptually DJ Child murdered this remix with the clock sounds, chimes and tones. This is what you call a classic meditation. I am sure, just like me, you will have this track on repeat. Part 3 of 5! Johan Hugo of The Very Best @realTheVeryBest (one my favorite groups) is one of the most cutting edge producers/musicians/artists I have met in many years. After hearing Yoshua Alikuti I was convinced that dead prez would benefit from production like his. He also transformed the song with the addition of YADI @yadiyadiyadi, whose voice can been seen on the horizon everywhere! This is the reason why this track has been renamed, it's more than a remix. This subtle mash-up of African dance, hardcore trap inspiration and worldwide soundscape  puts this version of dead prez' remix somewhere I never thought it would be...but you can listen for yourself.
