Sfire is a duo consisting of Jeffrey Sfire and his friend from London.  Jeffrey, one of Detroit’s favorite DJs, known for his 80s dance, italo and chicago house sets alongside Ultramajic friends Mike Servito and Carlos Souffront.  Sfire is the latest record with two burning hot songs manicured with a Drexciya meets Pet Shop Boys tip.  One of our most ID’d tracks of 2015.  

Artwork is a collaboration from Jennifer Mehigan, whom Jimmy Edgar met in 2011 when she was making 3D crystal sweatshirts in Singapore.  Originally from Ireland, Jennifer is an artist in an undefined movement realizing cybersensuality, where the digital realm and human intimacy meet.

There was a time when clubs were called discos and people went out to actually dance with each other.
There was a time in Germany when dilettantism ruled and NEUE DEUTSCHE WELLE (NDW), a genre of music originally derived from post-punk and new wave music with electronic influences captures the hearts & charts..

'Tanzn' tells the tale of the two stories showing that enjoying and creating art without investing what establishment and mainstream would call 'required efforts“ is everybody’s right. So people, go out, dance, make music, do your thing, regardless what others think about it.

After his killer debut album „From Germany with Love“ this is Peter Zimmermann ’s first single on Emerald & Doreen, paving the way to a lot more NEUE DEUTSCHE WELLE to come.
The release comes with two elegant re-interpretations, Dim Zach’s remix which is more German 80s NDW than German 80s NDW ever was (Dim, how did you do that?) and Aux tha Masterfader 's 1984 Meistermischung, the names says it all.

Pardon Moi is the Berlin-based New Wave Duo featuring the British producer and song writer James Brook & German producer and DJ Thomas Freudenthal. „Addiction“ sounds like John Foxx and Gary Numan joined forces with the global chug, dark disco and synth wave haute volée. This track would have been in the UK Top 20 in 1981, for at least three weeks, we are sure! And the remixes are great too! The Kike am Radar remix adds some high noon post-punk edge to the game, James Rod turns „Addiction“ into a dusty, slow motion new wave monster from outer space. K-Effect turn it into a chuggy synth wave groove and MontCosmic's punchy remix is maybe the tightest of them all with its anthemic vocals, driving new beat acid synths, hypnotic grooves and heavy handclaps. A quality package of New Wave!

Fockewulf 190 were a Human League-Ultravox-Kraftwerk-inspired Italian duo who were most active in the 80′s, although as recently as 2010, they released a cover of the classic Kraftwerk track “The Model.” They take their name from a WWII German fighter jet.

Known as a great nation of space travellers, there is no doubt that one of the hottest new nudisco acts from Russia will rise like a rocket. Hot Hot Hawk’s „Space Traveller“ has all there ought to be in terms of catchiness, inventiveness and sytle. Sasha Butakov and Ilya Potapov  have already succeeded in founding grateful listeners in a range of Western webzines, which is usually is a mission impossible when you live in a remote area like Kurgan. But quality and the internet made it possible that they joined ventures with the The Robot Scientists who have already released a remix for The Sweeps „Optimistic Melancholic“ (EDR 04).  They create an imaginative 80s movie soundtrack which has not been filmed yet. The romanticism is full in effect by telling a story of a cosmonaut finding solace in space after splitting up with his lover. The musical transition works by a huge chorus that has airplay potential – or we’d rather say space-play-potential.
