Have you already heard the theory about the two moons? Well, it is said that the moon which exists today hasn’t always been so lonesome. It is believed that there was a smaller ‘twin’ which has lasted for only few million years and then it crashed with its bigger brother. This is where Lunar Twin begin their awe-inspiring journey. Christopher Murphy and Bryce Boudreau met in July 2011, at the Denver Underground Music Festival, and decided to create music which blends unique sounds with space- and time theories. 
On this Emerald & Doreen release you can find two tracks –  a new edit of their breathtaking “Champagne” along with its amazing remixes and “Metroplex”. The second one is a bit darker, the drums and synths resemble the rhythm of a mega city where you get lost. But also ‘you’re never alone there’... cause the DJ seems to know you’. Do you know that feeling? 
And there is Champagne with a bombastic cinematic and mysterious feel. It's a soundtrack for a human's quest to be free from boundaries and connect with oneself.  Lush synths and piano blend together to create an ethereal experience. A long walk on a short pier.  Growth and decay.  
Haioka, gifted prodigy child from “the land of Cherry Blossoms”, gives, as usual, a very unique, electronic touch to the track. Putting all his soul into it, and being all the time inspired by traditional Japanese art, he reaches into the depths of Champagne and unveils the best of it. 
Statickman turns dreamy, moony “Champagne” into pulsating disco-dance beats with a glimpse of cosmic swing. This wizard is nothing but pure energy and the last to being called static. 
The Canadian-Ukrainian duo, Ummagma brings ‘cinematic-ness’ to the next level with their delicate take on “Champagne”. A full kaleidoscope of harmonies, subtle vibes and the wonderful piano at the end sounds like the icing on the cake. Now starlight shines with its full intensity, emitted by magic stars.
Woolfy is adding a driving groove to “Champagne”’s dreamy vibe was a fantastic choice. Not to mention those taken-from-outerspace sounds which will certainly blow your mind.
To have a rest, there is another smooth punch. This time from Romin, who after his outstanding “Fallen EP” released on Emerald & Doreen in January, didn’t rest on his laurels and invites everyone for a definite and one-way travel into the true freedom of a singular person. 
And just after this short, peaceful pit stop, Mushrooms Project comes in with an epic, musical poem. Drums punching and mysterious echo predict something huge which comes within the next few minutes. 
The last take on “Champagne” belongs to our beloved duo Go Satta. The sweet, innocent voice of the vocalist – Moriah - perfectly complements the whole track, enriching it with warmth and cheerfulness.

Roglar - Dark Walker

Berlin-based synth-wave band Dina Summer released their highly anticipated second album 'Girls Gang' earlier this year via Iptamenos Discos. The super band which is formed by Kalipo (also known for his work with electro-punk band Frittenbude) and dark disco DJ/producer duo Local Suicide first made waves in the scene with their 2021 EP ‚Who Am I‘ before releasing their critically acclaimed 2022 debut album ‚Rimini‘ and 2024 EP ‘Hide & Seek’. They also contributed to Curses’ ‘Next Wave Acid Punx‘ compilation, participated in Purple Mag x radiooooo’s '2070' project, and performed at Reeperbahn Festival's prestigious ‘Collide Session’.

The new album is a versatile collection of 11 tracks that delve into themes such as empowerment, outsiderhood, impermanence, nostalgia, and relationships. While their debut album was characterized by its club-centric sound, drawing from italo disco and '90s electro influences, this new release explores a richer palette of new wave, post punk, and synth pop. The sophomore longplayer is more song-oriented, often featuring real bass and guitar, and showcases a more vocal-driven performance from frontwoman Dina, incorporating more singing alongside her trademark spoken words. Yet, it retains the same catchy melodies Dina Summer is known for, offering both indie pop hymns and a few undeniable club anthems.

After recently releasing a bunch of remixes by DJ Hell, Damon Jee, Phunkadelica, The Populists, Karassimeon, Boys’ Shorts, Karla Lynch, Moderna, The World Domination, & Etane the trio is now back with even more reworks by befriended artists Joyce Muniz, Stockholm Syndrome, IBÄ, Nici Palm & JG Outsider!

The uprising Leipzig-based DJ, producer and party curator Nici Palm chops up & re-arranges the vocals from ’No More Tears’ and adds a tech groove and multiple rich synth layers to create an ode of female empowerment.

This EP features two other great exponents of the Argentine scene: PAXU, who is increasingly gaining ground on the city's dance floors and a member of our friendly label Slow Cycle, and Cosmosolar, who has been making a name for himself internationally for some time now, part of the Modula team, another major Argentine label.

SPÆCIAL PREMIERE: Galope Messier - Vórtice Onírico (Osccurate Remix) [Burning Synths]

Jean-Jacques Perrey from Paris was one of the first Moog musicians, creating "far out electronic entertainment" already in the 1960s. He released albums with names we love like "Musique Electronique Du Cosmos (Electronic Music From Outer Space)" (1962) or "Cadmus Le Robot De L'Espace" even from 1959. We ran into "Cosmic Bird", this fantastic tune he recorded with Air in 2000 roughly, recently on an old CD, burnt from Audiogalaxy and Soulseek shares in the early 2000s which we didn't listen to for decades. It reminded us somehow of our first edit of "Popcorn" by Magic Men (and the original of course, the first synth chart hit by Hot Butter from 1972). It not only has a futuristic, but also a fun side to it and a psychedelic one too, like our favorite Italo tracks, so we decided to edit it to take the wonderful hypnotic madness of the original to the extreme. :) Enjoy!
