We are glad to welcome Rick Pier O'Neil on the 5th volume of the "Modulism".
Rick Pier O'Neil started as a Dj in a French club when he was 14.
A sound technics addict, he became a sound engineer and created his first studio at 16.
He started producing his first titles such as Sequential «Chocho Loco», and Tribes World's «In de ghetto» which led him quickly to the top of the french charts.
He began working with such major labels as Sony Music, Universal, Motown, and Polygramm. as a remixer he worked for Kool and the Gang, Stevie Wonder, and others.
With the emergence of the house music movement, he set foot overseas and becomes part of the US musical stage.
The first title realized there ranks 5th in the famous Billboard Chart.
Sussex house « I feel good » will be the beginning with Epic NYC, Japan Sony BMG as an artist remixer such as Donna Summer, Lenny Kravitz, Ultra Nate, and Cee Peniston.
The title "I don't want nobody " created for Cheri Amore (Vocalist today of Armin Van Buuren's tracks) will be a hit in most European countries as well as in the US. RPO makes rankings on the US Billboard and is acknowledged by the biggest DJs.
Built on his American experience, he decides to create his own music label with dark sonorities much more progressive but also more tribal Underground.
It's a risky career choice but his passion for creativity will always grow stronger.
The labels RPO Records and GARBAGE Records will soon play and be playlisted by leading DJs like Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Boy George, Anthony Papa, Steve Lawler, and others. These productions will be compiled all over the world on the best CD: Global Underground, Amnesia, Matinee, and others.
He leaves France and settles in Barcelona. He continues his career as a producer and in the meantime performs as a Dj in the best clubs in the world.
He starts a residency for Amnesia France Tour and is one of the first residents on Frisky radio. He then leaves the city of Gaudi for Mexico where he still lives.
A child of soul music and techno, he now produces his own sonorities. He has produced and created over 500 titles up to now under various artist names and surrounds himself with the best vocalists and musicians.
His 30-year-long career in the studio or behind the turntables is proof if needed that the passion for music fuels Rick Pier O'Neil's life.
He is recognized as one of the top tastemakers, with a popularity that has been growing worldwide.
RPO's banging beats put him at the center of the new breed of mixers on the digital DJ rig, easy to see why he has drawn attention and fame.
In the mix, he presented 17 of the most memorable Polyptych tracks.

1. Amarone - Moan [Mixed]

noxious element, alias Oliver Kraus, was gripped by electronic music even before puberty. The new Amiga 500 he got as Christmas present was turned into a production machine within a few weeks, and all its discs were overdubbed with samples. It soon became clear that this was to become Oliver's private and professional path. He started an education at the SAE in Frankfurt to become an audio engineer. Together with his fellow student, Jörg Schellhaas, he released his first vinyl (as noxious element) in 1999, on Phuturewax by Tom Wax. A string of live performances followed in the Rhein-Main area in Germany. He was also active as a remixer. After moving to Munich he focussed increasingly on working as an audio engineer. He was also very busy as a MAZer, sound designer, jingle composer and radio producer. Today, his clients include pretty much all the radio stations in the Bavarian capital, The Walt Disney Company and all the major audio book labels. He never lost his love for electronic music. He continued to keep his 'finger on the pulse' through being a regular visitor to the Munich club scene, and all the big festivals in the electronic music scene in Germany. After various self-distributed releases, he decided to revive his project 'noxious element in the summer of 2021, and begin to release solidly again. Stylistically never easy to classify, he now focuses on harder, massive techno, including elaborate, cinematic arrangements. The first new releases can be found on Evosonic Records and Harthouse. His debut on Emerald & Doreen is a more progressive TechHouse / Progressive / Melodic Techno (think Afterlife releases) and a dark disco-ish production that both work like a charm on dancefloors.
