If there is a word to describe Radondo's path it is signature. Drifting through Italo, EBM, and New Beat influences, the Berlin-based alchemist has crafted the formula for the perfect balance between nostalgia and vanguardism.

Following an acclaimed remix for Mister Sweatband's Machine, Radondo faces the spotlights with a striking solo debut on the label featuring two distinct tracks that epitomize his role in the Italian Dance Wave movement.

The EP unfolds with 'Pace,' a poignant composition guided by celestial atmospheres, analog synth melodies, and Radondo's trademark percussion work.

On the B-side, his sonic sorcery is tested and approved with an A++. 'Rapture' exudes elegance and maturity: setting the club-ready tone, driven by acidic leads and menacing lows.

Behind these time-proof productions, there's an experienced selector that has lit up dancefloors from Vilnius to New York, with regular slots at some of Berlin's finest clubs.

Beyond The Struttosphere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs combining their considerable musical production experience with an insatiable passion for cosmic chugging dark disco.

The cosmonauts embark on their most ambitious journey yet with the release of ‘Odyssey-10’ on Emerald & Doreen records. True to its name, the lead track evokes an epic space voyage propelled by driving arpeggiators, chunky layered percussion, high-octane guitar hits and the signature BTS chug bassline. The tune progresses into a tectonic breakdown heightened by spacey Juno chords before launching into a dynamite crescendo that burns contrails through the atmosphere. Remixes are provided by two bastions of the scene: Mexican dark wave star Vongold introduces lustful celestial vocals into the mix, dialling down the tempo, and repurposing the track into a post-punk acid chugger that takes no prisoners. French dark disco connoisseur Badknife applies his masterful touch with a second remix, cranking up the throb and deploying interstellar synth arrangements that will have you reaching for your seatbelt.

The duo venture into uncharted territory with ‘Satellite Cities’, a collaboration with cosmic queen Miss Zagato. Undoubtedly their funkiest production to date, this galactic chugger is a hypnotic blend of funky guitar plucks, electrifying stabs and groovy riffs, underpinned by Miss Zagato’s intoxicating lyrics that transport you to the moon in a hypersonic X-15. Building in momentum and complexity, the track climaxes with a mesmerising vocal chorus, elevated by cosmic synth melodies and a resonating mid-range bass that will echo for aeons to come. The original is backed by a sublime remix from Spanish electronic virtuoso, Ivan Fabra, whose take re-imagines the track as a pulsating Balearic dancefloor anthem loaded with powerful drums and ethereal pads that melt into the sunset.

The EP concludes with ‘Storming Heaven’, a sonically charged acid trip that adventures through the cosmos, guided by a weighty chugging bass, a psychedelic 303 line, tripped out guitar chords and an array of cosmic FX. The tune traverses two mystical breakdowns before ascending into stratospheric planes with a euphoric synth sequence and a staggering guitar solo courtesy of long-time BTS collaborator Stannard Procedure. Strap in!

Siolim is a small and cosy village situated about 7 km from Mapusa in the Bardez Taluka of North Goa, India. It is also the source of inspiration for When Disco Goes Wrong's Högt I Tak’s (SXDNS179) forthcoming EP on the super cool Paisley Dark Records: "A Night In Siolim" comes wrapped in acid psychedelia and delivers its message through two refreshing originals and four notable remixes made with love by The Machine Soul, Mindbender, Keith Forrester, and A Space Age Freak Out (SXDNS123).

By the way, Janne Berglund could not wrap this year up before paying another visit to Paisley. His 2023 works were solely published either on his very own outlet or on the British imprint. Fidelity at its best!

Premiered here, John Paynter and Ben Lewis dressed as A Space Age Freak Out’s version takes the title track to cosmic realms in which a frenzy and psychotropic aura sets off a mesmerising and immersive e-music experience, far away from same old same old formulas and ready to take over any kind of intelligent dance floor, especially the demanding ones, whose audiences are eager for something more daring and unconventional.
