The story of how Gisele Bundchen by Sergio Mattos of 40 Graus Models in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The story went that after she was found by a local talent pool the modeling agency from Rio, founded and run by Sergio Mattos, started to represent the young superstar model in the making and made her first international trip to Ibiza for a runway show with the iconic John Casablancas elite models. Why tell this story? Well Sergio Mattos has passed away, and he was my father. Only way I knew to express my grief was by putting my father in this track, I hope it brings to light the level of legendary icon he became. But I know it’ll fall short of his greatness. I made this song because the last story he told me was about his times in Ibiza and how crazy it was in the 90s. He described the all nighter parties and the modeling world. He told me these stories in the hospital of Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro before his passing because I told him that I was finally pursuing my dream to be a DJ. That story inspired me to make this song and sample an interview were my Serginho tells this story. Hope if moves you like it did me…xoxo. DC Salas is thirtysomething year old Diego Cortez Salas, a skilled talent with peruvian origins hailing from Brussels. His four-track EP „The Complicated Art of Dreaming“ delves into classic territories, an eclectic amalgamation of his musical inspirations in 15 years of digging and DJing. A regular DJ at C11 and Kiosk Radio both in Brussels, Diego also co-runs Biologic Records with his mate Abstraxion since 2014.
