DAN HAYES - BIO 
A 22 year old deep/tech house DJ from Eastbourne, East Sussex. After securing his first set in June 2015 for High Tide Southampton things have gone from strength to strength and has since gone on to play set's at Ministry of Sound including 103 warming up for Soul Divide & Rhythm Masters, Egg London, Junk & The Arch to name a few. In January 2016, he won the Evermix DJ Competition in association with Toolroom & Krafted which then lead to him being signed to Krafted's agency. This has seen further bookings in Brighton, Southampton & London; including warming up for Defected in the House. He is also obtained sets at Soundclash, We Are FSTVL & Mutiny festival and in Croatia for UES Festival.

Mix of the Day: Braqs & Drewy

Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Jex Opolis flexes his club-ready chops with 'Human Emotion', a deep yet shimmering house ballad forthcoming on his own Good Timin Records.

Jex Opolis on his new single: "The record is certainly my most personal to date, mainly because my vocals are all over it! I hope it’s a bit punchier and more immediate than my other releases, which sort of tiptoes the line between Steely Dan, Wally Badarou and like, Ben Liebrand or something.”

Emerge was developed and co-founded in Ibiza 2016 by Alex Brackin (BRAQS), Andrew Phillips (Drewy), Jamie Jmos, Jack Burgoyne (Jack Patrick) and Jonny Green to be a collective of young DJ’s, producers and promoters from different areas and backgrounds to create something fresh with the potential to grow. 

The first step was an event put together to play host for Ibiza workers and tourists to carry on partying after hours. Continuing the party from either work, DC10 Paradise or Hyte. This was promoted by word of mouth as a secret destination party going on until the sun comes up. The venue for the party was ‘The Blue Room’ underneath Es Paradis super club.

The brand quickly snow balled leading to a string of successful parties every week featuring artists such as, ANOTR, Martinez & Quadelli, Sam Sullivan, Wreckless, Pablo, Tee-O, Sense Traxx residents, BRODYR, Jay Truez, Esco, JMOS, The Jazz Man, Scott Anderson, Lewis Murch, Batesy and Millü.

Towards the end of the summer as all the co-founders either worked or DJ’ed for Lost in Ibiza, Emerge were kindly given the opportunity to co-host a Lost in Ibiza boat. This meant they got to support Jacky & Raffa FL on the DC10 Paradise pre party. Also Emerge were given the opportunity to DJ at the Es Paradis closing party to close The Blue Room. This was a great end to the the 2016 season for the young team of DJ’s and promoters but there is a lot more to come from them.

Now in the winter of 2016 Emerge are planning a string of UK based events to utilise contacts and networks made whilst in Ibiza and putting them to use to create something special in the underground scene.
