Jimmy extracted from Fri3ndship’s original song, “Escape”, (written about freeing yourself from the restrictions and darkness of self-doubt)…. Chopped it up and made this deep liquid roller with it, and it ended up being called “Possibilities”! It hilariously now sounds like Fri3ndship is saying "risqué"!

Based in Madrid, Westcountry born-and-raised Fri3ndship is a prolific writer with a jazz / bluesy kind of voice and trademark melisma that seems to work on almost every genre.

When she was six, with her Casio keyboard, Jem doll and Fisher Price tape player, she started to create piano dance and pop in her bedroom, and hasn’t stopped writing since, even though her creations were a secret until she was twenty...

With influences from a wide variety of current music, clearly her core drivers are what she grew up surrounded by. Her sonic world was filled with all the 90s Dance, Hip Hop, RnB, crazy Jazz and Prog Rock. Fleetwood Mac, The Pharcyde, Prodigy, Hall & Oates, George Michael and Van Der Graff Generator are right up there!

After over a decade in an electronic band who gigged around the UK with live instrumentalists, and with a quirky, soulful voice (think Kučka, Beth Gibbons and Stevie Nicks met at a cocktail bar and took Aluna and Kelis to the afterparty, - but woke up on the comedown with Tasha Baxter), Fri3ndship is back after a long hiatus! In September 2020 a move to Madrid changed her life, and in late December 2021 a song struck like lightening as she left the Madrid metro and it’s been a nonstop roller coaster since then!

The ride just keeps going... with multi-genre goodies in the bag and festival performances booked throughout 2024. Strap in!
