This is my song "You Cannot Ghost Me" LIVE at Chicago's vintage speakeasy, The Drifter.  This was my first live performance since 3/1/2020.  I have waited 15 months for this moment and I was so excited to share my music.  So excited that, yes, I did forget words to my own song.  That's okay.  I had fun with it.  Making mistakes on stage with a rowdy crowd is pretty fun.

"I'm Addicted too" is an anthem for the anxious-avoidant attachment styles.  With this song I wanted to forgive myself for the patterns I fall into while also giving a truthful, emotional story on what it's like to love someone with an addiction.  
I chose partners who struggled with addiction a lot in the past, and it's because I could really empathize with it. 
In college I struggled with an eating disorder and went into partial in patient care to get better.  I realized that even though I was healing a lot of addictive behaviors with food and eating that I was also still falling into relationships with people who weren't emotionally available.  The more avoidant a partner was the more comfortable I was.  The more I longed for them the more they seemed to disappear. and the cycle repeats.
Maybe our addictions are signs that we have an unmet need we aren't giving ourselves.

"VOID" is a poignant reflection on inner turmoil and the desire to escape from emotional burdens.

The song delves into the fear of witnessing loved ones suffer and the guilt of wishing for emotional detachment to ease the pain of separation. It's a raw exploration of vulnerability, fear, and the complex dynamics of love and loss.

Happy Pride!  One of my favorite all time bands, "Girlpool", will be coming to Chicago in July for Pitchfork.  I wanted to cover them in celebration of my pride as a musician and queer person. A queer musician, one might say.
I love this song and it's cut throat visual lyrics make love sound nasty, human, and prickly and warm.  Love is everything and nothing all at once. Love sucks sometimes.
