The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Emi Galvan for his first appearance. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also an accomplished DJ, Emi’s long undulating sets have been applauded for their impeccable track selection and exquisite programming. As one of Argentina’s most in demand DJs, Emi has travelled the world, delighting crowds in Egypt, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Spain and more. A recent highlight in the Argentine’s sets has been his unofficial remix of Massive Attack’s ‘Girl I Love You.’ Released in 2010 as part of the band’s ‘Heligoland’ album, the song would go on to become one of the LP’s most recognizable tracks, racking up more than ten million plays on Spotify in the process. Emi’s version has seen considerable live play in recent months, with Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger and more all airing the remix across their sets. Our latest free download welcomes Emi Galvan back for a much-anticipated rework of Björk’s timeless classic ‘Army Of Me’. Originally released in 1995 as part of the Icelandic artist’s landmark album Post, the track quickly became one of her most recognizable works, praised for its industrial edge and powerful vocal delivery. Nearly three decades later, ‘Army Of Me’ continues to resonate with audiences worldwide, making it a natural choice for reinterpretation on today’s progressive stage.

Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvan has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career-defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Also an accomplished DJ, Emi’s long undulating sets have seen him delight crowds across the globe, with his unique blend of melody and rhythm placing him amongst Argentina’s most in-demand electronic artists.

Tested extensively in his own sets over recent months, Emi’s remix of ‘Army Of Me’ has already been supported by Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Sebastien Leger, Eli Nissan and Henry Saiz among others. Staying true to the haunting intensity of the original while reimagining it for today’s dance floors, the Argentine’s version strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation.
