Get2kno went live & direct for the very first time on Saturday and omg it was so fun 📡🎙️! We went straight in with club vibes for this one - head down in the club at 2am was the vision - with some proggy gorgeousness, house, breaks, jersey club vibes and a couple R n B edits to end with some nostalgia. Shoutout to the amazing chatroom crew and big thanks to my dear friend and top selector Josh CK for joining me on the show for a b2b! Kicking off April on VIBRATIO)))NS is lwstd.fm resident, co-founder of the party Pherotone in London and dear friend @emiliacloud 

I met Emilia in 2022 while we were making our way to one of my fav festivals, Kala in Albania. The first thing that struck me about Emilia was her pure love for music and the light she brought on the dance floor. We kept bumping into each other during the festival, and we stayed in touch since then chatting and checking in on each other. Over the past year and half she's taken her love of music from the dance floor and into the booth, and watching her journey is something that brings me immense joy. The same joy and enthusiasm she has on the dance floor is something she brings when she plays, and I'm so excited where this will be taking her. Asking her to do a VIBRATIONS mix was a no-brainer for me, and she soundtracked an absolute beaut.
Here is the mix in her own words:

"This was my first-ever 3-hour mix, and I fully embraced the opportunity to be playful—blending genres I adore and tracks that truly move me. It begins with ambient and orchestral sounds before evolving into a journey across the electronic spectrum, with some pop and indie surprises along the way. A recurring theme is the soundtrack of the 1996 Romeo + Juliet movie—one of my all-time favorite albums, which I recently fell in love with all over again. I remember watching the film for the first time and being blown away by its creativity and the way it wove music so beautifully into its storytelling. Music has always been deeply personal to me, and my biggest inspiration growing up was my dad—a talented musician who improvised the acoustic guitar heard at the beginning and end of this mix. To add some personal touches I weaved in a few vocal samples including a cheeky nod to my roots in southeast London and an iconic moment from another of my favourite 90s films. I also wanted to spotlight some incredible up-and-coming FLINTA artists from the UK and beyond."

April's Get2kno is dedicated to FLINTA promoters and producers! Earlier this month I launched a club night with one of my best mates, and we really came to appreciate how much work goes into making nights happen - so I wanted to spotlight some of the promoters who put diversity into the heart of what they do. There are still way too many all-male line-ups out there! And celebrating and supporting FLINTA talent and people is more important now than ever. For the show we hear from 9 wonderful promoters about their events and why representation is so important in this space. The voice notes are interwoven with a mix of entirely FLINTA producers, many of whom are promoters themselves. Expect proggy goodness, dark hypnotic house, gorgeous breaks and an end track by a true icon.

In My Heart

Kahli is a Sri Lankan/American selector & digger that grew up on the vibrant South-East
Asian island. Having performed in Bangladesh, India and China, she has shared the stage with notable characters in the experimental electronic scene such as KHXDEEJ, Ancient Methods, and Phasmid. Unafraid to spin styles of all kinds, Kahli is deepening Sri Lanka’s relationship with high energy leftfield styles like bass, techno (hypnotic) and breakbeats. Keep up with her new project @kahlaj_sl.

Khali’s mix drifts through shadowy ambient and driving percussion, tracing a story that begins in atmospheric ritual and builds into kinetic, bass-heavy club energy. Allow the claps and snares to lure you into this deep, bass-rich hypnotic techno set, where subtle shifts, minimal textures, and slow-burning intensity invite the listener into a trance.

Beginning with an ethereal piece from Hearts of Space Records and closing with a reggae/dub-inspired remix by Mulholland, Khali draws a full circle with this selection. Inspired by the sets she’s performed for her favorite local event, @secretevents.cmb, this is a mix built for late night minds and open ears.

Get2kno live 2.0 b2b with Josh CK is up for your listening pleasure…! The theme for this month is ‘I wish I was at Glasto’, the fomo hit HARD this year but we were happy to transport the listeners to the field for an hour of club-ready tunes that were farm-worthy (see what I did there?). 

Starting off at 134bpm it’s a journey of acid, trance, 90s sleaze, breaks, jersey club ending with some grab-your-friend-for-a-cuddle dubs of classics. It wasn’t a planned show and I was especially excited to get to play D Tyrone’s dreamy Mala edit that I’ve been obsessed with for ages but haven’t had a chance to play! Also features brand spankin new goodness from the incredible Amaliah and Om Unit.

We had some technical issues at the start so the mic intro is a tad late and a bit messy, forgive us and blame the gremlins! Also some silly chat about how to pronounce Pangaea and whether the Horny Mix featured was horny enough for our liking.
