Happy New Year to you all! Sometimes it feels each year goes by quicker and quicker, but it feels good to rewind, slow down and live in the moment! 

We are absolutely thrilled to have one of the pioneers of deep, dreamy and electronic grooves. Mark Slee doesn't need any formal introductions, but like all quality artists it is important to provide a little background and context to give you listeners a nugget of information to take away with you :) 

He's been on the scene for over 20 years and therefore has an idea of what groove is all about. Teaming up with Atish in 2016 they created the label @manjumasi , which has been a leader in releasing quality deep house productions with a hint of quirkiness to differentiate themselves from the masses. A reference point for the connoisseurs. 

Once you click play on this mix you are suddenly already 20 minutes in without even realizing it. "Good" or "Great" DJs is a term that is far too easily used in the current electronic scene, but when you listen to the transitions in this mix, the track selection and the music Journey that Mark brings you on, you can now understand what differentiates your every day DJ to one that actually understands what music is all about.

Was passiert, wenn ein Easy Tiger 🐯 das Nachtleben mit bittersüßen Melodien und träumerischen Beats erobert? Ganz klar: ein musikalisches Feuerwerk der besonderen Art! NEMOA, die DJ aus Berlin, reiht sich mit ihrem neuesten Mix in die Igelkarussell-Reihe ein, wo schon die Easy Tiger-Crew aus Jena (Deep Ändi, Schwalheim und Glenn Shaw) großartige Sets abgeliefert hat. Der Austausch zwischen Easy Tigern und Spulenigeln? Ein tierisches Highlight – und NEMOA beweist, dass sie mittlerweile selbst eine echte Tigerin ist!

Ihr Sound? Ein unvergleichlicher Mix aus gefühlvollen, verträumten und manchmal bittersüßen Melodien. Während NEMOA auf der Tanzfläche selbst gern zu Techno abfeiert, nimmt sie uns in ihren Sets mit auf eine langsamere, verspielt-emotionale Reise, die sie treffend als „Downbeats“ bezeichnet. Ihre Musik erzählt Geschichten, die Herzen berühren und den Dancefloor zum Nachdenken anregen. „Ich liebe es, Menschen mit meiner Musik Raum zu geben, ihre Gefühle frei fließen zu lassen“, sagt sie – und genau das hört man in jeder Note.

Besonders wichtig ist NEMOA auch, als Black Female Artist Sichtbarkeit zu schaffen: „Es geht darum, Räume zu schaffen, in denen Vielfalt und Verbundenheit gefeiert werden.“ Diese Message ist genauso Teil ihrer Musik wie die tiefen Emotionen. Die Bewegung wächst, und NEMOA steht dabei ganz vorne – laut, stolz und inspirierend.

Und wer noch mehr Tempo will? In ihrem Projekt VICE & VERSA bringt sie housey, groovy und trancey Tunes ins Spiel – hier wird im 150 BPM-Strudel alles durchgewirbelt.

What is music kept in a box? No good to nobody. Music is to be shared. Don’t want to “sitt on music” any longer. Life is busy, Time flyes, Humanity is lost… then found again! 

On this journey I need to unpack. I have so many new songs & projects to complete.
My time here on earth is precious to me.

Me in one word: Equivoke
Words to describe me: philosophical ponderer, far away traveller (borders, space & time), sensitive human, expert survivor, stubborn & insistent, kind hearted, dreamer… witness.

(People have worked on some of these tracks, obviously, & some are my own. I have not yet figured out how to manage all the parameters.)
