Sleeping Beauty is a quiet song that had a big impact on my life. Long before I knew I would live in South America, I dreamed the experience into a song. This is a song about coming of age. It's a song about how we imagine ourselves and the world outside what we know, the Catoosa Counties of the world, leave us longing to explore beyond them. It's a song about a young woman with a desire for something other than what she knows, longing for the unfamiliar. It's about waking up with an idea of oneself and dreaming beyond the knowable dream. However you put it, its about the unraveling details of our imagination, the fear and the hope that goes along with an adventurer's mind.

Emily Kate Boyd, an American roots-rock artist, weaves her Tennessee heritage into a tapestry of vocal jazz, blues, and classic country. Her powerful voice and creative lyrics have earned her recognition in the independent music scene.

Boyd's discography boasts six self-released albums, featuring collaborations with Grammy Award-winners Shawn Mullins and Clay Cook of the Zac Brown Band. Her musical journey recently took her to Argentina for a two-year stint, during which she expanded her network of artistic collaborators across the globe.

Now back in the United States, Boyd continues to draw inspiration from her Southern roots and international experiences, crafting a unique sound that resonates with audiences worldwide.
