Back Story

My name is Emily Dutcher and in 2008 I had a hemorrhagic stroke that was caused by a Cavernoma with associated DVA diagnosed in 2010, through an angiogram. I have many deficits due to the Cavernoma that has changed my life forever. I will explain, in depth, what a Cavernoma is, in hopes to gain awareness and to support others with the same affliction. I gained all of my information regarding Cavernomas and found a support group through Angioma Alliance. http://www.angiomaalliance.org/

There is not much research or known about Cavernomas in the Medical fields. There are only a few Doctors, in the US, that know about Cavernomas and have done the research. One of them, who is world renowned, is Dr. Spetzler from Arizona. People from around the world go to him for information and surgical opinions. 

The purpose of this podcast is to create awareness, not only to the people but also to the medical professionals, to do more research and create a better understanding of our condition.
