Alex, an aspiring farmer from Maine, recently moved to Toronto where he took up a job farming at the city's largest urban farm - the Black Creek Community Farm - located in one of the city's most diverse, and impoverished, neighborhoods. It was a season full of unexpected learning and growth.

While I'm EXTREMELY new to creating audio stories, but I'm not new to telling stories. So, with the help of the Transom Story Workshop (Jan-Feb 2014), I will be populating this space with my first ever audio stories. (I won't say radio stories just yet...that would be getting ahead of myself here!)

My name is Emily, and I live in Toronto, ON, Canada. My work and passion lies in building sustainable, equitable food systems. I also love getting to know people and hearing their stories. 

I'm looking forward to connecting with fellow story-makers in Toronto and, well, everywhere.
