Weekly Mixup #39 - LIVE @ LOWRY PARCADE [Part 2/1030pm]

Fourth Year of this Mix series and the last Mix of this series as well. I know that going into a fourth year of a mix series we should be looking at #200 or something similar however each of these mixes have been more about quality than quantity with me. That said, I went into this mix knowing it would be the last of the numbered "Weekly" series. This series has slowly morphed from a internal challenge to myself to make a Weekly mix to mixes that encompass an idea or person. So this isn't the end of my mixes as I still have plenty that I want to make but I want to set expectations that the # will be dropped completely from here on forward. 
Thank you for coming along this mix series journey.
To date (as previously mentioned in Year 2...) each mix from #1 to #40 has purposefully been made to be "mixable" into the next meaning that if Mix #1 ends at 95 Beats Per Minute (BPM), Mix#2 starts at 95BPM, so on and so forth. Essentially making this the worlds longest back to back mixed series. This mix contains 40 tracks that are harmonically mixed ensuring we end this series properly and there's sure to be a song for just about everyone.

Weekly Mixup #40 - Year Four

I was arranging some old mixes and came across one from 8 years ago where I played at The S.E.T (Something Else Thursdays) (https://soundcloud.com/eminent/the-set). I came across an Outkast Bootleg I made and realized I never played it again. I decided to fix that and make a better version and this is the result. Another this marks the 2nd Moods Blend that I've made and marks yet another Hip-Hop inspired bootleg from yours truly.

This mix was inspired by the night I opened for Slow Magic back in November of last year (2015). 
Its meant to wind you down after a night filled with high energy and slow the pace and atmosphere. 

It consists of 40 tracks spanning over a 1hr & 30mins. 
In addition to the standard "tracklist" I've shown the "keys" to the songs as well.
You may have noticed that in my last several mixes I have mentioned that I've started mixing "harmonically" ...

After Party

Make Something Sexy 2 is a project that was 5 years in making. 
As the title states, MSS2 is primarily split into 2 sections: Make Up & Break Up songs. 
Where I've previously celebrated various aspects of relationships: From communication, to spending time with your significant other, this time I wanted to explore the aspects of rough patches in a relationship.  

Today (2.14.17) also happens to mark 6 years that I've been DJ'ing and its been an enjoyable experience. One that I hope to continue sharing with you all for the foreseeable future. Let me wrap all this up by saying Happy Valentine's Day, thanks for being patient (waiting 5 years for Part 2) and thanks for continuing to listen after all these years.
