Gimme A Break Records presents Oldboy’s 'The Box EP', featuring three expertly crafted UK Garage productions. Following his debut release, 'The Guv’nor EP', on Noire State, Oldboy continues to deliver future dancefloor classics founded upon crispy two-step rhythms and squelching basslines. Through his string of releases on Fly By Night Recordings, Outhouse Sounds, Ratface Records, Reloaded Sounds, Da Demolition Squad and Algo:Riddims, Oldboy has become renowned for his playful sampling. The EP’s title-track showcases Oldboy’s filmographic inspirations and whilst ‘Strict Service’ offers a more laidback groover, 'Mantis' supplies a rough and ready crunch to round off the EP. Big up to Oldboy himself for conjuring up this nostalgic cover design.

Fly By Night welcome Oldboy (@oldboytrax) to the label with his relentless, bass-driven track Evergreen. Oldboy departs from his usual UKG sound to deliver a track with a roaring bass and pounding kicks that we truly cannot wait to test in a club. With a recent release on @ratface_records and a forthcoming release on newly-founded Manchester label @noire-state, Oldboy is shaping up to have a huge 2021. 

Fly By Night are excited to announce FBN005, an 8-track V/A with all profits going to Centrepoint, a charity which supports over 14,000 homeless young people every year providing housing and mental & physical health support. Locked Up contains 8 exciting producers ranging from breakbeat, electro & bass, all contributing their interpretation of a year being spent locked inside. From artists ranging from Birmingham to Brighton, Angers to Copenhagen, the V/A is yet another strong release from Fly By Night to round off what has been a long 2020 in which the label have been picking up the pace.
