I made another mixtape.  I keep meaning to make more of them, but I’m lazy as fuck.  So I don’t, until I finally do.  That’s “my process.”

I still listen to music the same way I did when I was 12, bumping the same few tracks over and over and over again until something new comes up and I play the fuck out of that.  Like all my other mixtapes this is a reflection of that.  It’s the same shit that I got on steady bump as of late.  I don’t think I was being terribly discerning about them being summer tracks.  It just happens to be summer and this is what’s on.

This year has been all stupid for me mostly because I can’t get what happens in my head to happen in real life.  And it took me getting yelled at and having to be a sad-little-shit-head to my (AMAZING!) girlfriend for me to realize why and what to do about it.  And I keep reading other peoples shit about their personal growth and shit they’ve learned and how the fuck much good they’re doing. 

I was supposed to be fucking RICH this summer.  Instead I’m descending into my 30s tripping over myself instead of moonwalking like I meant to.  That’s why I be like UFCK! YO SUMMA (again!).  And Amy Winehouse died.

But even with all that, another summer in Toronto saved my fucking life!  So maybe this is to celebrate that.  And personal growth and shit.  Not yours, mine.

Made another mixtape.  I love October.  Today I'm going to go get a haircut and watch a sad movie by myself.  Then I'm going to eat some Peking Duck.  And I'll be glad even though, even though, even though.

MY VERY OWN OCTOBER

1.  It's pretty amazing how good pussy can boost your confidence and how easily both can be taken away.

2.  You are not Confucius.  You are an ass. 

3.  somehow i woke up in my own bed this afternoon. alive.

4.  she wore french tips and old lady earrings. but she had cute toes and that scratch in her voice.

5.  i'm still young and too handsome.

7.   If you’re not sure it’s done take one mold and stab it with a knife and slip it back out.

8.  My mind's all fireworks. My spirit's are high and my wallet is low. I'm anxious to see more.

2000, I think.  I used to call myself BooM1ne.

Just felt like sharing.  Written and recorded before my balls dropped and I had immense dreams of being a Rap-Star slash Filmmaker etc. etc. type renaissance-man.  Still working at it I guess. 

Listening to it now, it's just truth.  This is one of my most honest expressions.  Before I learned 'how to write' or had any kind of style.  Today I mask most of my cheesiness in vulgarity and pseudo-don't-give-a-fuck.  But this always reminds me that I've always given a fuck.
