Our first mix for 2024 is here - and it's a rather sonic one to blast us into the New Year.

Charlotte Rooney is a name synonymous to Prog in Naarm, representing the genre with flair & pride - honing in her signature sound. The name frequents heavy hitting lineups around the city, playing at the likes of Xe54; New Guernica & The Gasometer - supporting artists such as IN2STELLAR; Adam Pits; Lisene & Aldonna.

This Transmission showcases her mature style of mixing, seamlessly weaving through Trance; Prog; Breaks & House. A rather notable theme in her mixing style is the ability to maintain the hypnotic effect, utilising space in the music to balance rhythmic bass lines.

Thank you to everyone that came down to the 4th edition of Motion Music Festival!! It was honestly such an amazing experience putting this on with the motion team again this year... definitely the best one yet! 

This set was so special to me, closing out the festival was nerve racking but so so amazing! It was so lovely meeting a bunch of new faces joining the motion community  and reconnecting with old motion friends. Thank you all for being the best and making this such a memorable experience <3

Jimmy AKA Ambedo, is a Naarm native who is fast becoming your go-to for prog. His selection is inspired by the 90s and 00s, blending bass; breaks and your classic 4x4s - but is never afraid to take left turn with tracks that are 'rougher on the edges' shall we say.

Jimmy also co-heads Deuce Events, championing femme, POC, queer, and gender non-conforming artists. In 2023, his name graced venues like Xe54 and The Gasometer, supporting acts like Adam Pits and Lisene.

This mix is nothing short but of what we would expect from someone like Jimmy - enjoy //Human.

Gracey is a dj from Melbourne/Nark in Australia whose background of classical guitar in her childhood influenced an appreciation of all forms of music, morphing into a love of the electronic music world and all it has to offer.

<< The set is a fun peak time 75 minute mix of 90s and early 2000s percussive house integrated with modern takes on progressive percussion and base heavy electronic music. It’s a collection of music that I have found recently and favourites I have had in my collection over time combined to create a moving dance floor.

C’est une collection de tracks que j’ai trouvée récemment et de favoris que j’ai eus dans ma collection au fil du temps, combinés pour créer un dancefloor qui bouge.
